Q
Who is the intelligent “cleaner” on the water surface?
It is the “River Treasure” robot brothers from Chengdu Chenghua Economic Development Zone. The elder brother H2 is a “powerful tough guy” specialized in tackling branches and trunks, while the younger brother H4 is a “smart all-rounder” that precisely captures floating debris.

Recently,
two robots from Chengdu River Treasure Robot Co., Ltd.
successfully passed the highest level new product certification by the Ministry of Water Resources,
marking a new breakthrough in China’s water surface cleaning robot technology,
officially entering a new stage of intelligent and unmanned applications.

Traditional cleaning equipment often cannot “enter or unfold” in narrow and complex water areas such as river basin hydropower stations, and the birth of H2 is aimed at solving this problem.

▲H2 Type Water Surface Cleaning Robot
The R&D leader of the H2 water surface cleaning robot stated that H2 adopts a highly modular design, standardizing the interfaces of core modules such as the floating platform, collection net chain, and cockpit, allowing for quick disassembly and convenient transportation between different hydropower stations.
It has high work efficiency and strong adaptability to working conditions, with a cleaning capacity exceeding 80 cubic meters per hour. It can not only “consume” common floating debris but also easily handle “hard bones” like branches and trunks. The unique design combining “front collection and rear unloading” with “front collection and front unloading” allows it to independently complete the entire process of gathering, salvaging, storing, and unloading, along with a long-lasting battery life of 10 hours, making it very suitable for large-scale and long-duration operations.
In contrast to the “powerful feel” of H2,
the H4 Type Water Surface Cleaning Robot
is more like a “flexible intelligent all-rounder”

The H4 is lightweight and has a shallow draft, allowing it to easily navigate through urban rivers and scenic lakes that traditional cleaning boats cannot access, like a “water sprite”.

▲H4 Type Water Surface Cleaning Robot
The R&D leader of the H4 water surface cleaning robot stated that its advantage lies in the installation of the “intelligent eye” and “dexterous hands”.
The “intelligent eye” refers to the intelligent visual recognition system equipped on the H4. This system can identify various common floating objects, from plastic bottles and bags to duckweed and small branches. The “dexterous hands” refer to the adaptive collection device, which can automatically adjust the speed of the net chain based on the amount of debris on the water surface and the flow speed, like an experienced fisherman who knows how to net in the most efficient and labor-saving way while simultaneously filtering the water.
Previously, workers had to stand on a swaying boat, risking falling into the water while performing high-intensity salvage operations. Now, workers have been liberated from high-risk environments, and long-term operational costs have been reduced to less than one-third of traditional methods.
