Capacitive Touch
Capacitive touch technology is widely used in traditional household appliances, smart locks for buildings, industrial panels, as well as emerging fields such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and electric vehicles. Renesas Electronics has accumulated rich experience and unique technology in capacitive touch technology, forming a diverse product lineup.
Renesas combines the ultra-low power RA0 MCU with capacitive touch technology, launching the first product in the RA0 series equipped with capacitive touch functionality, specifically developed for entry-level capacitive touch applications. This product features an Arm® Cortex®-M23 core, supporting up to 64KB of code flash memory, 16KB of SRAM, a wide operating voltage range of 1.6V to 5.5V, and a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, with low power characteristics and optimized peripherals to reduce BOM costs and simplify the design process. The RA0A1 adopts a new generation of capacitive touch technology, offering capacitive touch functionality with up to 24 channels, featuring intelligent wake-up touch functionality, utilizing multi-electrode connection (MEC) methods, and supporting low-power standby, which can reduce current consumption by up to 90%.
Therefore, the RA0L1 series is very suitable for low-power, low-cost capacitive touch application scenarios, such as consumer electronics, small appliance system control, industrial system control, and building automation.
