From August 10 to 13, 2025, the national finals of the 8th National College Student Embedded Chip and System Design Competition’s application track successfully concluded in Nanjing. This year’s chip application track, themed “Chip Fire Journey, Hello AI,” featured 13 competition topics including ST, HiSilicon, Qinheng, Guanghetong, and Loongson. The competition attracted 11,800 teams and 32,388 students from 735 universities nationwide.
The competition was conducted through online preliminary selections, offline semi-finals, and finals. Students from the College of Physics and Electronics overcame various challenges, ultimately achieving a national second prize for the project “Automated Thermal Printing Device Based on CH32V307” guided by Professor Cao Huiguo, and a national third prize for the project “Intelligent Control System for Multimodal Collaborative Agricultural Greenhouses Based on STM32” guided by Associate Professor Song Qianqian. The school also received an Excellent Organization Award. Additionally, six second prizes and several third prizes were awarded in the Eastern competition area.
This award is a strong affirmation of the educational achievements of the college, demonstrating the effectiveness of the concept of “promoting education and learning through competition.” The college places great importance on cultivating students’ innovative practical abilities, actively organizing preparation for competitions, forming professional guidance teams, and providing technical support and training for students. In the future, the college will continue to encourage students to participate in subject competitions, expand the participation and coverage of subject competitions, cultivate applied talents, and further enhance the level of professional development and the quality of talent training.
