Recently, Star Number successfully assisted two marine institutions in implementing satellite IoT-based offshore monitoring data transmission applications.

A marine research institution located in Qingdao faced particularly stringent technical challenges during the project implementation. The deployed detectors need to remain submerged in the complex and variable marine environment year-round, continuously collecting various key parameters such as water temperature, salinity, flow rate, and ecological indicators. Due to the equipment being immersed for long periods in high-salinity, high-pressure, and highly corrosive seawater, all components, including the satellite communication module, are required to meet extremely high standards of reliability, durability, and low power consumption.

Moreover, the marine detection scenario presents a high degree of uncertainty, which poses severe challenges to the satellite terminal’s anti-interference capability, link stability, and weak signal capture performance.

After multiple rounds of offshore field testing and technical iterations, Star Number provided a satellite IoT solution that ultimately achieved stable and efficient data transmission. The terminal features high-sensitivity reception, adaptive power regulation, and an intelligent sleep-wake mechanism, ensuring ultra-long battery life while guaranteeing that critical detection data can still be transmitted back to the shore-based data center on time and in full, even under harsh sea conditions.
