Material Conveyor Belt Speed Control System: Complete PLC Program and DocumentationMaterial Conveyor Belt Speed Control System: Complete PLC Program and DocumentationThis project aims to enhance the stability and safety of the material conveyor belt during operation, achieving precise speed control. The system uses a PLC as the core controller to complete I/O port allocation, program writing, and simulation verification; it also integrates a frequency converter to realize speed control. Based on actual working conditions and literature analysis, calculations for tension and driving components are performed and incorporated into the hardware structure to ensure safe and reliable operation of the system. Finally, based on the working principle of the belt conveyor, the collaboration with various switches, electromagnetic valves, and other hardware is explained, achieving an automatic control hardware platform for the material conveyor belt and corresponding program design.

The roller that provides the driving force for the rotation of the conveyor belt is called the driving roller, while the other roller is called the driven roller or redirecting roller. To enhance the friction between components, a tensioning device is usually required to provide tension to the entire system, known as the tensioning roller. During operation, materials are transported from one location to another along with the movement of the conveyor belt, fulfilling the function of transporting goods. Due to varying production conditions, the layout of material conveyor belts can be diverse, such as upward conveyor belts, downward conveyor belts, and tubular conveyor belts, with the basic working principle illustrated in Figure 2.1. 1. Utilizing Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) technology combined with current-speed dual closed-loop control theory, the motor speed response is rapid with minimal steady-state error, ensuring smooth operation of the conveyor belt. The frequency converter operates with the PLC as the core controller, completing real-time calculations and multi-stage adjustment tasks for precise synchronization of various processes on the conveyor belt. During the modification process, the original hydraulic circuit structure remains unchanged, only utilizing a proportional pressure valve to obtain PWM signals, directly participating in servo control, and interacting in real-time with the upper computer to dynamically adjust the pressure and flow during the injection phase, achieving an efficient control scheme that integrates both hardware and software.
