ICC News On September 10, 2025, the CIOE China Optical Expo officially opened in Shenzhen. MiGui Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “MiGui Technology” or “the company”), a representative manufacturer of high-end optical communication chips, showcased a series of advanced products and solutions aimed at the high-speed optical communication field at the exhibition (booth number 12D53). During the exhibition, Mr. Luo Gang, General Manager of MiGui Technology, was invited for an interview with Xunshi Optical Communication Network, where he shared the latest technological advancements and strategic layout of MiGui Technology.Key Progress in High-Speed Interconnection and Optical Access Chip DevelopmentIn the interview, Mr. Luo stated that MiGui Technology is fully advancing the research and development of high-speed CDR technology and 50G PON optical access chips. In the high-speed SerDes field, the company has developed a four-channel and two-channel transceiver CDR chip that supports a single-wave transmission rate of 112G, primarily used in AOC and AEC scenarios, with samples expected to be provided to customers by the end of 2025. In the optical access network field, the company is focusing on developing asymmetric 50G PON architecture chips, covering OLT-side 50G NRZ transmission and 25G burst mode CDR receiving functions, while also laying out the development of symmetric 25G PON chips, with samples expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2026.Winner of the “Optoelectronic Technology Innovation Award” MiGui’s 112G PAM4 CDR Chip Attracts AttentionOn the first day of the exhibition, MiGui Technology prominently displayed its full series of 4×112 Gbps PAM4 CDR TxRx chips, which won the “Optoelectronic Technology Innovation Award” from the conference committee due to their outstanding performance indicators and significant innovative value. This series of chips demonstrates the company’s solid technical accumulation and innovative breakthroughs in the design of core chips for high-speed optical interconnection, thanks to excellent signal integrity, multi-channel coordination performance, and advanced power consumption control. This award reflects the industry’s positive recognition of the progress in the development of domestic high-end optical communication chips. MiGui Technology stated that this achievement is inseparable from the long-term support and trust of customers and partners. The company will adhere to the philosophy of “technology-driven, innovation-based” and continue to focus on the high-speed interconnection field, insisting on independent research and development and collaborative innovation to provide more high-performance and high-reliability chip solutions for the industry.
Breakthrough 6G Front-Transmission Technology: The World’s First CDR Analog SolutionIn the cutting-edge field of 6G front-transmission, MiGui Technology is committed to expanding analog CDR technology into this area. Unlike the DSP solutions commonly adopted in the industry, MiGui aims to achieve a 112G transceiver channel through pure analog circuits, creating the world’s first 6G front-transmission chip based on an analog CDR architecture. However, there are significant challenges in the pursuit of higher performance. As the demand for data transmission rates from AI computing networks continues to advance towards single-wave 200G and even 400G, DSP solutions exhibit significant performance expansion advantages due to their inherent process technology (from 7nm, 5nm to 3nm). Although analog circuits also benefit from process advancements, their performance breakthroughs rely more on circuit design and structural innovation.Despite the challenges, analog solutions still possess unique advantages that DSP cannot match: significantly reduced power consumption, zero transmission delay, no need for external clocks, and lower overall costs. MiGui Technology believes that with continuous breakthroughs in analog CDR technology for high-speed connectivity, it will be able to provide cost-effective solutions that surpass DSP solutions, offering better choices for AI computing networks and 6G front-transmission scenarios in the future.Mature Processes and Rigorous Design Collaborate to Create a Full Series of Domestic SolutionsTo meet the stringent requirements of AI computing scenarios for high-speed optical connectivity, MiGui Technology is working on both process selection and design processes to comprehensively enhance product reliability. At the manufacturing level, the company adopts mature and stable BiCMOS processes to ensure that chips have good wide-temperature operating adaptability and process consistency. During the design phase, MiGui implements strict design specifications and reliability verification mechanisms, thoroughly checking for potential instability factors from the front end to ensure high performance and long-term stable operation of the chips in practical applications.
Mr. Luo stated that MiGui will continue to increase its R&D efforts, aiming to create a full series of domestic optical communication chip solutions. The company will continue to deepen its focus on high-speed interconnection, optical access, and 6G front-transmission fields, contributing positively to breaking foreign technology monopolies and providing higher cost-effective domestic chip options for the construction and development of domestic 5G-A, AI computing, and future 6G network infrastructure.
