Create a program and add the SetForce pressurization command. Change the plate thickness to 0, set the pressure to maximum, and extend the pressurization time a bit (we need to observe the movement value of the welding gun when the pressure reaches maximum, so it is recommended to extend the pressurization time to more than 10s to give us enough time to observe the external axis value).

Run the SetForce command and observe the stable external axis value of the welding gun from the manual control page.

Fill in the absolute value of the recorded external axis value into the “Control Panel” – “Configuration” – “Motion” – “Force Master” – “Collision Delta Position”. After modification, restart the system. (Note: The absolute value of the external axis is filled in, and the unit of the external axis value from the manual control page is mm, while the unit we fill in is m. For example, if we observe the external axis value during pressurization is -1.15, the value we fill in is 0.00115.)

2. How to Solve the Issue of Welding Gun Pressure Not Increasing

If the pressure calibration is unexpectedly terminated or incorrectly calibrated, it may lead to the pressure not reaching the maximum pressure of the welding gun. This is due to the modification of the maximum torque value of the welding gun after pressure calibration.

To increase the pressure, we need to modify the maximum torque value. Change the value in “Control Panel” – “Configuration” – “Motion” – “SG Process” – “Max Force Control Motor Torque” to the default value of ABB, which is 7, and restart. If it still does not work, continue to increase the value.
