1. Identification Customer feedback: The vehicle’s dashboard light is illuminated, and HDS checks show a fault code, as shown in the image.
2. Analysis2.1. Fault Description:
- When a fault is detected, the 12V charging system warning light and alarm are illuminated, and the DTC and freeze frame data are stored in the VCU memory.
- The VCU establishes communication with the EBS via LIN1. If the VCU receives a fault signal (ERR_COMMON=1) from the battery sensor, it will illuminate the relevant fault light.
2.2. Wiring Diagram:

2.3. Possible Causes:
- Battery sensor fuse failure
- Wiring issues between the VCU and battery sensor
- Faulty VCU or battery sensor components
3. IsolationCheck the battery sensor fuse and find that the fuse is blown:
4. RepairReplace the fuse
5. ConfirmationFault clearedRepair Notes:
- EBS: Refers to the 12V battery sensor.
- Before replacing the battery sensor, check if its fuse is damaged.
