After the alcohol spray treatment, the performance of the PolySmooth sample can be described as a “transformation.” The surface printing lines almost completely disappeared, becoming as smooth as crystal, with a qualitative leap in light transmission, appearing uniform and bright as light passes through. Notably, it already had excellent gloss when formed on a smooth printing plate, reflecting brightly with only a slight yellow tint, which adds to its appeal.

Polylite PC = Warm Matte Texture

In contrast, Polylite PC takes a different aesthetic route. It naturally possesses a subtle matte effect, softening the light as it passes through, creating a very gentle diffused light that effectively reduces glare. This characteristic makes it particularly suitable for creating lighting fixtures that do not require “brightness” but seek a “warm” light and shadow atmosphere.

3. Summary of Experience and Artwork Appreciation

In summary, both materials have their strengths:

If you pursue ultimate transparency and a crystal-like gloss, PolySmooth with alcohol post-processing is undoubtedly your top choice.

If you prefer soft, glare-free, uniform lighting to create an immersive light and shadow experience, then the natural matte texture of Polylite PC will be the best option.
