Technical Points

(1) When the sampling section of the water pipe flow sensor is less than 1/2 of the pipe diameter, it should be installed on the side or bottom of the pipe. For electromagnetic flow sensors, the sampling point on horizontal pipelines should be located at the horizontal axis of the pipe section or between +45° and -45° of the horizontal axis.

(2) The installation position of the water pipe flow sensor should be at least 10 times the internal diameter of the pipe away from valves, pipe reductions, and bends.

(3) There should be a straight pipe section of 10 times the internal diameter of the pipe upstream of the water pipe flow sensor, and a straight pipe section of 5 times the internal diameter downstream, without any valves, reducers, or pipe joint components in between.

(4) The water pipe flow sensor should be installed upstream of the pressure measurement point and at a distance of 3.5 to 5.5 times the internal diameter of the pipe from the measurement point.

(5) The water pipe flow sensor should be installed upstream of the temperature sensor measurement point, at a distance of 6 to 8 times the pipe diameter from the temperature sensor.

(6) The signal transmission line of the water pipe flow sensor should use shielded cables with insulated sheaths, and the shielding layer of the cable should be grounded at the site controller side.
