At the same time,Shikong Daoyu received20 billion yuan from the Zhejiang New Energy Vehicle Industry Fund, which will be specifically used for the construction of the global headquarters project and the global business development of the Geely Constellation, helping it move towards large-scale global application.

It is reported that from2022 to the present, Shikong Daoyu has launched6 groups of satellites. In June 2022, the first track nine-star launch set a record for the “one arrow, nine stars” at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in China. In February 2024, the second track 11-star launch refreshed the record for the number of satellites launched at one time, and after the third track 10-star launch in September of the same year, 90% of the global area was covered within 24 hours.
This year, on September 9, 2025, the Jielong-3 rocket successfully launched the Geely Constellation Group 05 satellites into their designated orbits with a “one arrow, 12 stars” configuration. On August 9 at 00:31, the Jielong-3 rocket successfully launched the Geely Constellation Group 04 satellites into their designated orbits with a “one arrow, 11 stars” configuration. Until September 24, after the launch of the Group 06 satellites, the phase one network deployment of the constellation was successfully completed.

Through the construction of the Geely Constellation, Shikong Daoyu will create a fully covered “future mobility” ecosystem, integrating automotive, consumer electronics, and other multi-dimensional carriers, empowering smart mobility, unmanned systems, smart cities, and other fields, to build a future mobility technology ecosystem.
In terms of technical architecture, Shikong Daoyu has achieved full-chain independent research and development and mass production of self-developed satellite communication chips, modules, and terminal series products.According to reports from the “Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily”, Shikong Daoyu has developed a satellite communication chip that connects directly to mobile phones based on the Geely Constellation, using industry-leading22nm technology, and has completed commercial testing.
In September 2023, Shikong Daoyu’s vehicle-mounted satellite communication service product achieved the first large-scale application in the country. In the absence of ground networks or when ground networks are interrupted, automotive users can access satellite networks anytime and anywhere through Shikong Daoyu’s vehicle-mounted satellite communication products, achieving two-way satellite communication.
Domestically, Shikong Daoyu has collaborated with leading enterprises such as China Unicom, Zoomlion, Geely Automobile, and Cao Cao Mobility to promote the integration of “satellite IoT + industry” innovation, and has completed commercial verification tests for scenarios such as “satellite + intelligent networking”, “satellite + marine fisheries”, “satellite + construction machinery”, and “satellite + transportation logistics”, with a success rate close to 100%, effectively promoting the cross-integration of satellite IoT with industrial internet, vehicle networking, and low-altitude intelligent networking.
In the international market, the company has focused on laying out in the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Latin America. In June 2024, the Geely Constellation completed its first overseas commercial deployment test in Oman, achieving a communication success rate of 99.15% and network availability exceeding 99.97%. As of now, agreements have been signed with telecom operators in more than 20 overseas countries, covering application directions in marine fisheries, smart transportation, energy management, emergency communication, and more.
Shikong Daoyu stated that with the successful completion of the phase one network deployment, it will provide commercial satellite IoT communication services to global users..
Low-orbit satellites are ushering in a period of intensive launches with policies continuously supporting commercialization
Currently, China’s satellite internet and satellite IoT are accelerating construction, and low-orbit satellites are also entering a period of intensive launches.
From July to August this year, the construction of China’s satellite internet has significantly accelerated. The national team has reduced the launch interval of China Star Network from the previous 1 to 2 months to 3 to 5 days, with the total number of satellites launched increasing from 34 before July to 72 currently.
In today’s digital wave sweeping the globe, the ground mobile internet still has many shortcomings in practical use. Satellite internet, as an important supplement to traditional ground communication, has become an indispensable “key piece” in building an integrated network of air and ground, achieving global connectivity.
Continuous policy support has also laid the foundation for the development of satellite interconnectivity in China. In 2024, commercial aerospace was first included in the government work report. In March 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the “Interim Measures for Domestic Coordination and Management of Satellite Networks”, systematically regulating the domestic coordination mechanism of satellite networks for the first time, clarifying core details such as interference handling and process optimization.
In August, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the “Guiding Opinions on Optimizing Business Access to Promote the Development of the Satellite Communication Industry”, clearly stating that by 2030, new models and new formats such as direct satellite connections for mobile phones will be scaled up. This includes organizing satellite IoT commercial trials, supporting qualified enterprises to rely on low-orbit satellite IoT constellations to provide wide-area IoT connectivity services for areas where ground networks cannot cover, and researching the establishment of new satellite communication businesses to further expand access to private enterprises.

On September 8, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the issuance of a satellite mobile communication business operating license to China Unicom. China Unicom can legally carry out direct satellite connection services, deepening applications in emergency communication, maritime communication, and remote area communication, enriching communication services and product supply.

It is worth noting that on August 9, the successfully launched Geely Constellation Group 04 satellites included four low-orbit satellites from the “Unicom Galaxy” in collaboration with China Unicom and Shikong Daoyu, with the fourth satellite being the first low-orbit satellite in China with 3GPP narrowband IoT communication capabilities.
This year earlier, at the end of April, China Unicom signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Geely’s commercial aerospace company “Shikong Daoyu”. According to the agreement, both parties will work together to tackle key technologies in intelligent networking and satellite communication, achieving deep integration of satellite communication and vehicle networking, and assisting in the construction of an integrated three-dimensional network.
