With this launch, the first phase of the Geely Constellation network, constructed and operated by Zhejiang Space-Time Daoyu Technology Co., Ltd., has been successfully completed, achieving real-time seamless coverage of any location on Earth except for the polar regions. The Geely Constellation has become China’s first low Earth orbit satellite constellation to complete networking and possess large-scale application capabilities, marking a historic breakthrough in China’s commercial space industry.

Private Sector Builds Global Low Earth Orbit Constellation

Building China’s Strategic Infrastructure

Completion of the First Phase of the Geely Constellation Network Marks a New Milestone in China's Low Earth Orbit Satellite IoT for Large-Scale Commercial Use

The Geely Constellation is a low Earth orbit satellite IoT constellation entirely constructed and operated by private enterprises in China. Since 2022, Space-Time Daoyu has successfully completed the deployment of the first phase of the constellation through six consecutive successful launches. As of now, including the experimental satellites deployed in the previous orbital plane, Space-Time Daoyu has increased the number of satellites in orbit to 64, with a reliability of 100% for all satellites in orbit and a network reliability of 100%, demonstrating the independent innovation capabilities of Chinese private commercial space enterprises across the entire chain from system design, satellite development, to network operation.

The constellation possesses real-time IoT communication capabilities with global coverage, providing commercial satellite IoT services to users worldwide, and serves as a strong support and important supplement to the national integrated information network system. As a new generation of strategic information communication infrastructure, the Geely Constellation will widely serve key areas such as intelligent networking, marine fisheries, low-altitude travel, emergency communication, transportation logistics, and energy management, injecting strong momentum into the new industrialization and digital transformation of industries in China and globally.

This means that satellite communication is upgrading from a traditional “supplementary technology” to a strategic infrastructure, becoming an important support for the digital economy, intelligent travel, and national security.

Global Real-Time Communication Coverage

Serving 20 Million Users

Completion of the First Phase of the Geely Constellation Network Marks a New Milestone in China's Low Earth Orbit Satellite IoT for Large-Scale Commercial Use

After the completion of the first phase of the Geely Constellation network, the system can support services for 20 million users globally, with a communication capacity of 340 million times per day. In terms of communication performance, the constellation can provide stable and reliable transmission, with a single communication capacity of 1900 bytes, supporting text messages, voice messages, and image transmission types.

On the technical level, the constellation is equipped with independently developed advanced anti-jamming algorithms, boasting a super anti-jamming capability of 50dB and excellent signal interception resistance, significantly surpassing international counterparts in terms of communication security and availability. With long-term large-scale R&D investment, Space-Time Daoyu has achieved full-stack independent research and mass production from the space segment, ground segment to application end, with satellite IoT communication costs only 1/100 of traditional satellite communication, greatly lowering the threshold for public applications.

In the future, as Space-Time Daoyu completes the deployment of all 72 planned satellites, the constellation will achieve triple to quadruple real-time coverage within the global coverage area, further enhancing communication capacity and service reliability, becoming a representative of the new generation of satellite IoT constellations for commercial use in China’s commercial space sector.
