On September 10, Arm officially announced the complete lineup of C1 CPU IP and Mali G1 GPU IP. In this new generation of xPU IP, Arm has eliminated traditional numerical designations, instead differentiating specific tiers within the same generation of products using suffixes.
The Arm C1 CPU includes a total of 4 models, while the Arm Mali G1 GPU offers 3 different models, detailed as follows:
CPU
C1-Ultra: Provides flagship-level peak performance with a 25% improvement in single-thread performance, double-digit growth in IPC, and supports computational photography and generative AI applications.
C1-Premium: Reduces area occupancy by 35% while maintaining Ultra-level performance, suitable for upper mid-range mobile devices.
C1-Pro: Focuses on sustained high energy efficiency with a 16% increase in continuous performance, ideal for video playback and streaming inference scenarios.
C1-Nano: Pursues extreme energy efficiency with a 26% improvement in efficiency while being smaller in size, targeting ultra-small devices such as wearables.
GPU
Mali G1-Ultra GPU: Achieves a 20% performance improvement in graphics benchmarks; features the RTUv2 second-generation ray tracing unit, with ray tracing performance doubled compared to the previous generation; AI inference performance improved by up to 20%.
Mali G1-Premium / Mali G1-Pro: Provide superior performance and energy efficiency for devices with limited hardware resources.
