Regarding the third product showcased, the HPM 6200 series, Professor Fei continued: “The HPM 6200 series is a high-performance product launched by Shanghai Xianji for precise control, integrating a high-resolution PWM module and a programmable logic array to replace internationally renowned digital signal microcontrollers, achieving high-performance motor control and digital power supply. It has broad application prospects in industrial and new energy fields.”
It is reported that Xianji Semiconductor also showcased the HPM 5300 series launched in August this year at this exhibition. This product is an important market initiative by Shanghai Xianji that combines high performance with mainstream MCUs, achieving a main frequency of 480 MHz, which is comparable in performance to internationally mainstream high-performance MCUs. Additionally, to enhance operational control performance, the HPM 5300 series integrates Xianji’s unique precise positioning system, supporting various position sensors, including photoelectric, magnetic induction, and rotary transformers, while providing flexible encoder outputs compatible with bus-type, analog, and pulse types, matching various input and output signal forms of incremental and absolute encoders, ensuring flexible signal conversion and high efficiency. The HPM 5300 series offers three mainstream packages: 100 LQFP, 64 LQPF, and 48 QFN.
Shanghai Xianji Semiconductor will soon announce the latest version of the high-performance HPM5300 series MCU, the HPM5301 chip and development board. This chip is equipped with a single-core 32-bit RISC-V processor, inheriting Xianji Semiconductor’s consistent high-performance characteristics and architecture, and with a very high cost-performance advantage, easy and efficient onboarding speed to help lower the entry barrier for developers, opening a new world of high-performance microcontrollers for developers and enthusiasts. It is a high-performance general-purpose chip product with significant educational value.
Addressing the migration difficulties of RISC-V architecture products, Professor Fei stated that Shanghai Xianji has built a complete application ecosystem around Xianji MCUs for developers. The software development team has developed a supporting SDK based on the BSD license, which includes low-level drivers, middleware, and RTOS, such as lwIP / TinyUSB / FreeRTOS, and will also integrate active open-source projects into the SDK, such as RT-Thread / Zephyr. Users can freely use Segger Embedded Studio for RISC-V integrated development environment for development. Meanwhile, Xianji Semiconductor will also provide developers with a free integrated development environment HPM Studio based on VS Code and a graphical SoC resource configuration tool for PC desktop, working with partners to promote the development of the high-performance MCU ecosystem.
He added: “Developers of Xianji’s high-performance MCUs can easily get started and use the HPM series high-performance MCUs based on the SDK, supporting integrated development environments and development kits. The difficulty of migrating existing projects to Xianji MCUs is consistent with the migration between different manufacturers and products on the ARM platform, with basically no significant differences.”
Innovative Solutions Focused on Industrial Automation, New Energy, and Automotive Fields
Industrial automation, new energy, and automotive fields have always been key application areas in the semiconductor industry. Shanghai Xianji Semiconductor has identified the potential and demand in these three areas and is actively engaged in related technology research and innovation.
