Minimalist AI Potato Counter

This project showcases a highly practical AI vision system for automatically counting potatoes on a conveyor belt.

Unlike common large AI models, this system is very lightweight, capable of accurately recognizing and counting potatoes in video with just a single frame for labeling and training. It is based on Ultralytics’ ObjectCounter and YOLO11 nano model, requiring no large datasets or complex infrastructure, making it ideal for manufacturing and automation scenarios.

This project demonstrates the value of AI in real industrial applications: focused, simple, and efficient, it can quickly solve specific problems, significantly saving labor and time costs.

German University Develops High-Speed Cable Robot

This is a highly technological cable robot CARGOLin developed by the ISW team at the University of Stuttgart, featuring an advanced cable-driven system that achieves astonishing dynamic performance with high speed (up to 15 meters per second) and high acceleration (up to 35g) through eight powerful electric winches.
