This collaboration will further deepen the cooperation between both parties in key areas such as automotive MCUs, jointly meeting the full-scenario chip needs of smart vehicles and injecting “chip” power into the acceleration of automotive industry intelligence.

Arm Total Access is an important option in the “Arm Technology Licensing Subscription” model, providing enterprises with one-stop technical support, including integration of the latest Arm IP resources, tools, technical training, and software services, supporting parallel R&D of multiple projects, simplifying business processes, and ensuring R&D freedom and efficiency. Since its official launch in China in 2024, Arm Total Access and Arm Flexible Access have gained widespread recognition from customers, with over 70 domestic clients choosing these two licensing subscription models.
Li Tao, General Manager of Lanshan Electronics, stated: “Leveraging Arm’s globally leading technology ecosystem, Lanshan Electronics has built a product matrix of automotive-grade MCUs covering all scenarios of smart vehicles, thanks to the deep support from Arm Technology. The Arm Total Access solution aligns closely with our future product planning, allowing us to use Arm’s latest technologies, tools, and services through a ‘one subscription, multiple uses’ approach, enabling parallel advancement of multiple R&D projects. This will help us integrate resources, accelerate technological innovation and product launch, and move towards our vision of becoming a ‘domestically leading, world-class automotive semiconductor enterprise.'”“
Zhao Yongchao, Head of Sales and Business Development at Arm Technology stated: “As the current mainstream architecture for automotive computing chips, the Arm architecture has become the first choice for many automotive electronics manufacturers both domestically and internationally. Lanshan Electronics, as an innovative pioneer in the domestic automotive-grade chip field, has closely collaborated with Arm Technology since its establishment in 2022. Its high-performance, high-security, and high-reliability automotive-grade chips based on the Arm architecture have been successfully implemented in multiple leading OEMs, achieving full-scenario coverage for vehicles. The choice of the Arm Total Access solution by Lanshan Electronics marks a new stage of comprehensive deepening in our cooperation, and we look forward to deeper innovative collaboration around smart vehicle full-scenario chips.”
Arm Technology Empowers Efficient Chip Creation
Seizing Opportunities in the Smart Automotive Market
In the era of smart electric vehicles, automotive MCUs are undergoing a transformation of “quantity and quality improvement”: on one hand, MCU applications are expanding to all scenarios of body, power, chassis, intelligent cockpit, and intelligent driving, significantly increasing demand; on the other hand, the upgrade of automotive electronic and electrical architecture and the penetration of AI technology are driving automotive MCUs from “function realization” to “intelligent collaboration,” which makes the market’s requirements for automotive MCUs in terms of high performance, high real-time capability, and high security increasingly stringent. These performance indicators have also become key standards for measuring the core competitiveness of automotive MCUs.
This trend brings market opportunities for chip companies while also presenting challenges in technology, development, business, and cost. As the most widely used computing platform globally, Arm technology, with its high energy efficiency, mature ecosystem, and flexible scalability, has empowered over 31 billion chips worldwide, making it the mainstream choice for automotive MCUs. Especially for mature companies like Lanshan Electronics with clear R&D and business planning, the Arm Total Access solution can fully meet the innovative needs of enterprises to rapidly develop market-leading products based on Arm’s cutting-edge and diverse technologies.
Leveraging the Mainstream Arm Technology Ecosystem
Building a Full-Scenario Automotive MCU Product Matrix
Lanshan Electronics is an automotive semiconductor company focused on automotive MCUs and supporting power chips and “end-to-end” solutions. The company has built a full-scenario automotive-grade chip matrix through forward R&D, covering ARM cores from M0, M4, M7, R52 series to self-developed RISC-V architecture, with power management chips achieving full-link layout from BMS to domain controller power supply.
By leveraging Arm’s globally leading technology ecosystem, Lanshan Electronics has built a fully self-developed automotive-grade MCU product portfolio and supporting power chips within three years, covering high, mid, and low-end application scenarios, aligning with different automotive electronic and electrical architectures, and fully meeting the full-scenario needs of smart vehicles.
High-end flagship LS-N636 product: equipped with a triple-core Arm Cortex®-R52, using advanced automotive-grade eFlash technology, meeting the highest safety level of ASIL-D, applied in core areas such as power domain control and intelligent chassis, representing the leading level of domestic domain control MCUs.
Performance pioneer LS-E3X series: using Cortex-M7 core, covering single-core to quad-core, with multiple IO ports and packaging forms, applicable to various body control applications.
Mid-range mainstay LS-E14X series: based on Cortex-M4F core, equipped with high-performance independent HSM module, supporting hardware asymmetric encryption to meet stringent information security regulations.
Economical choice LS-E10X series: relying on Cortex-M0+ core, flexibly innovating in functional safety, communication modules, etc., adaptable to various body electronic scenarios.
Currently, Lanshan Electronics’ series products are progressing smoothly. The LS-E14X series has been mass-produced and installed in multiple leading customers, while the LS-N636, LS-E3X, and LS-E10X are about to enter mass production. In the future, Lanshan Electronics will continue to develop multiple series of automotive MCUs based on Arm Cortex-R52 and Cortex-M cores, focusing on high-end product development to meet the new demands of domain control in the next 5-10 years.
