What is the Internet of Things?


The Internet of Things (IoT) is a highly integrated and intelligent network system that connects different smart electronic products or devices, enabling objects to perceive, identify, and communicate with each other, as well as make autonomous decisions and execute operations based on predefined rules or algorithms. The application fields of IoT are very broad, including but not limited to smart homes, smart cities, industrial internet, smart agriculture, smart healthcare, and environmental monitoring.





Who are the instructors?


The IoT Application Technology Major has a total of 18 instructors, including 13 full-time teachers and 5 industry mentors. Among them, 12 have industry work experience, 4 hold PhDs, 1 is a postdoctoral researcher, 2 are recognized technical experts in Guangdong Province, 3 are expert judges for national vocational college skill competitions, 5 are outstanding teachers in Zhongshan City, 2 are city-level technical experts, 5 are provincial-level science and technology special commissioners, 2 are talent cultivation targets of the “Thousand Hundred Ten” project, and 4 are part of the “Talent Plan” in Zhongshan City.

Projects + Courses


The IoT Application Technology Major adopts a “project-based” + “master-apprentice” teaching model, where the course projects are derived from real cases in the industry. Alumni Employment Status

Zhong Junjia

Zhong Junjia, a graduate of the class of 2017, was the first president of the alumni association. During his time at school, he served as class leader and band leader. Due to his solid learning in professional courses and strong hands-on ability, he is currently employed at Tuya Smart’s Shenzhen branch, starting as a technical support FAE and now serving as a project manager in the key account project department, responsible for developing over 200 products including smart vacuum cleaners, smart electric kettles, smart pet products, and smart coffee machines. He is diligent, dedicated, and honest, proving his self-worth in his position.

Zhuang Donghong

Zhuang Donghong, a graduate of the class of 2019, won the second and third prizes in the National Vocational Skills Competition and was awarded the title of “Outstanding Graduate” by the school. He is currently the technical support supervisor for the South China region at Beijing Newland Times Education Technology Co., Ltd., and won the “Outstanding Newcomer Award” in 2019, serving multiple times as a judge for IoT skills competitions.

Zheng Zerui

Zheng Zerui, a graduate of the class of 2020, is a retired soldier and a member of the Communist Party of China. During his time at school, he participated in the transfer to a bachelor’s degree program and obtained a business administration degree from Shenzhen University. After graduation, he started his own business in foreign trade and Tmall operations, as well as cross-border e-commerce operations.

Zeng Lihui

Zeng Lihui, a graduate of the class of 2024, is currently employed at Guangdong Beilin Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. in Zhongshan Sanxiang Town, engaged in the research and development of fuel dispenser-related products, with an annual income of 150,000.
