Intelligent IoT Research Team

1. Team Introduction
The “Intelligent IoT” research team led by Professor Li Guangshun consists of 8 members, including 2 professors, 3 associate professors, and 3 lecturers, with a well-structured academic background. The team focuses on research directions such as the Internet of Things, cybersecurity, edge computing, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and big data processing. In the past five years, the team has undertaken 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and over 20 provincial and ministerial projects, published more than 200 research papers in high-level domestic and international journals, applied for and obtained over 30 national invention patents, and received a second-class award for national scientific and technological progress. In 2024, it was recognized as an excellent graduate student guidance team at the university level.
2. Team Members

Li Guangshun: PhD, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Dean of the School of Computer Science at Qufu Normal University, “Xingtan Scholar” of Qufu Normal University, a key talent introduced in Shandong Province’s key support areas, with main research directions in artificial intelligence, big data, edge computing, and blockchain. He is the director of the Shandong Provincial Engineering Laboratory, director of the Shandong Provincial “13th Five-Year” key laboratory, a core member of the Shandong Provincial Taishan Scholar team, and responsible for a national first-class major. He is an executive director of the Shandong Computer Society, vice-chairman of the Artificial Intelligence Committee of the Shandong Computer Society, vice-chairman of the Big Data Professional Construction Guidance Committee of the Shandong Big Data Research Association, a review expert for the Degree Center of the Ministry of Education, a senior member of the China Computer Society, an executive member of the ACM Jinan Branch, a senior member of the China Electronics Society, a member of IEEE, vice-chairman of the Teacher Education Research Committee of the National Computer Basic Education Research Association, president of the Rizhao Computer Society, chairman of the Computer and Electronic Information Branch of the Rizhao Science and Technology Promotion Association, and a review expert for top international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. He has served as the program committee chair for several international conferences such as Cloudcomp and WASA.
Currently, he is undertaking 1 key project and 2 general projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, 3 provincial-level projects including major basic research projects of the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation and key R&D plans of Shandong Province, and has completed 6 projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level. He has published 69 papers in important domestic and international academic journals and conferences, including 32 indexed by SCI. He has been granted 9 invention patents, 2 utility model patents, and 14 software copyrights. In 2013, he received the second prize for scientific and technological progress in Rizhao City and the third prize for excellent soft science achievements in Shandong Province. In 2014, he received the second prize for provincial-level teaching achievements in graduate education and the third prize for provincial-level teaching achievements. In 2016, he received the second prize for excellent practical achievements in professional degree graduate education in Shandong Province. In 2018, he received the first prize for provincial-level teaching achievements in Shandong Province. In 2020, he received the first prize for excellent scientific research achievements in Shandong Province. In 2022, he received the first prize for graduate teaching achievements in Shandong Province and the second prize for provincial-level teaching achievements, having supervised over 40 doctoral and master’s students, and has been awarded titles such as Excellent Graduate Supervisor in Shandong Province, Excellent Teacher of Qufu Normal University, Advanced Worker in Graduate Education, Excellent Young Teacher, Advanced Individual in Teacher Ethics, and Excellent Communist Party Member.
Wu Junhua: PhD, Professor, Master’s Supervisor. He graduated with a PhD in Computer Application Technology from Harbin Engineering University in 2009 and has been working at the School of Computer Science at Qufu Normal University since 2004. He is a review expert for top international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. He is undertaking 6 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation, major projects of the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the Shandong Provincial Doctoral Fund project, and has published over 40 papers in important domestic and international academic journals and conferences, including 21 indexed by SCI. He has been granted 3 invention patents and 10 software copyrights. He has received 6 provincial-level teaching and research awards, including first and second prizes for provincial-level teaching achievements. He has supervised over 10 master’s students.
Huang Baogui: PhD, Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor. He was a visiting scholar at The George Washington University from September 2019 to August 2020, and has hosted and completed 1 project of the Shandong Provincial Education Department’s university science and technology plan and 1 project of Qufu Normal University’s science and technology plan; he has participated in over ten projects including the National Natural Science Foundation general project, key projects of the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Plan, projects of the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and projects of the Shandong Provincial University Science and Technology Plan. He has published over 20 papers in important domestic and international academic journals and conferences, including 14 indexed by SCI. He has received the second prize of the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Award in 2021 (3/4), the first prize of the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Award in 2020 (1/5), and the second prize of the Shandong Provincial Excellent Research Achievement Award in 2015 (2/5). He is the chief editor of the textbook “C++ Object-Oriented Programming” and has participated as a co-editor in the construction of textbooks such as “Basic Course in C Programming” and “Principles and Applications of Database”. He has guided a project for the Qufu Normal University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program; he has guided undergraduate students to win over 20 awards, including the first prize in the Shandong Provincial College Student Software Design Competition, the second prize in the National College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition, and the second prize in the Lanqiao Cup National Software Design Competition, and has been repeatedly recognized as an excellent guiding teacher.
Ma Chunmei: Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor, Head of the Network Engineering Department, Director of the Rizhao Engineering Technology Research Center, Excellent Teacher of Qufu Normal University, Student Employment Guidance Teacher, and one of the first recipients of the “My Favorite Teacher in Qufu Garden” honor in 2024. She has hosted 1 national-level project and 3 provincial-level projects, and as a key member, participated in 1 national youth fund project, 1 national key R&D project, and over 10 other provincial and university-level projects. She has published over 10 SCI/CCF papers in domestic software journals, core international journals, and international conferences, applied for 2 national invention patents, and 6 software copyrights, and received the first prize of the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Award. She has authored and compiled textbooks such as “Principles and Applications of Database”, “Principles of Database Systems (MySQL Edition)”, and the Shandong Provincial Unified Textbook “Visual FoxPro Database and Program Design”, as well as several other professional textbooks. She has hosted 1 provincial-level quality course project for graduate students, hosted 1 Golden Classroom course, and won the first prize in the university-level teacher teaching innovation competition, and has published several teaching papers in journals such as “China Education News”. As a key member, she has participated in the construction of provincial and university-level quality courses, participated in a provincial-level key teaching reform project, and participated in a provincial-level ideological and political demonstration course, winning 2 special awards for university-level teaching achievements.
Zhang Xiujuan: PhD, Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor, with research directions in algorithm design and analysis and their applications in various fields such as IoT, drones, and blockchain, focusing on security guarantees at all levels of wireless networks involving drones. She graduated with a PhD in Computer Software and Theory from Renmin University of China. From June 2017 to July 2018, she studied at the University of Texas at Dallas under the guidance of the world-renowned mathematician and computer scientist Ding-Zhu Du. She has hosted and completed 1 project of the Shandong Provincial Education Department’s university science and technology plan and 1 project of Qufu Normal University’s science and technology plan; she has participated in over ten projects including the National Natural Science Foundation general project, key projects of the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Plan, projects of the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and projects of the Shandong Provincial University Science and Technology Plan. She has published over 10 papers in important domestic and international academic journals and conferences. She has received the second prize of the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Award.
Yao Yan: PhD, Master’s Supervisor, with main research directions in intelligent agent workflows, business process collaboration, edge computing, and collaborative computing. She graduated with a PhD from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, under the supervision of Professor Cao Jian. During her PhD, she conducted research at the University of New South Wales in Australia, collaborating with Prof. Boualem Benatallah. She graduated with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the School of Computer Science at Qufu Normal University, with her master’s supervisor being Professor Yu Jiguo. As the first author, she has published over 20 academic papers related to her field (first/corresponding author), has been granted 6 national invention patents, and 3 software copyrights, and has participated in several national-level projects. She is currently an executive member of the Collaborative Computing Committee of the China Computer Society (CCF TCCC), serves as an academic editor for the journal Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing, and is a reviewer for international journals such as IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, and ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks.
Yuan Yuzhuo: PhD, Master’s Supervisor. He graduated in 2022 from Shandong University with a major in Microelectronics and Solid Electronics. His main research directions include metal oxide semiconductor materials and devices, spatiotemporal sequence prediction, and embedded and FPGA development applications. He is currently hosting a Shandong Provincial Youth Science Fund project, a Rizhao City Natural Science Fund youth project, and a university-level experimental teaching reform project, and has participated in a national natural science foundation general project and a project to enhance the innovation capabilities of small and medium-sized technology enterprises in Shandong Province. He has published over 10 SCI papers, with 4 papers published as the first author in top journals in the field, including 1 selected as a cover article and 2 as editor’s choice articles, and has been granted 1 invention patent. He has published two academic works, “FPGA Self-Learning Notes – Design and Verification” and “FPGA Design and Verification”, which have received recognition from teachers and students after multiple reprints.
Qiu Defu: PhD, Master’s Supervisor, with research directions focused on medical image analysis and processing and computer vision. He will obtain his PhD in Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology in December 2024. He is a member of the IEEE, the Chinese Association of Automation, the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, and the China Computer Society, and serves as the secretary of the Overseas Chinese International Biomedical Engineering Association. In 2022, he was approved for funding under the “National High-Level University Public Graduate Project”. As the first author, he has published over 20 papers in journals such as TMM, TCDS, IEEE JBHI, IEEE IOTJ, and FGCS; he has hosted 1 graduate innovation project from the Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, and 1 project from the “Future Scientist Program” of China University of Mining and Technology, and has participated in 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, receiving honors such as the National Scholarship for Master’s/Doctoral Students and the Jiangsu Province “Three Good Student” award.
