Currently, large language models are no longer limited to language; they can also process and understand data from different modalities such as images, audio, and video, and can perform cross-modal information fusion and generation. This enables large language models to possess comprehensive perception and understanding capabilities similar to humans. Therefore, large language models are now more commonly referred to as larger models (LM).

This year marks a significant explosion in artificial intelligence technology, with many advanced AI technologies emerging. For example, Deep Seek and humanoid intelligent robots. Their level of intelligence and capabilities have already surpassed our previous imaginations.
When AI writing software first appeared, we thought it could only provide some reference materials for text writing or quickly generate coherent but subpar content. This was still a useful tool for our regular writing, providing an additional reference option.
However, the rapid development of AI technology has been astonishing. When we use AI to generate text materials now, we are surprised to find that the content it produces is already quite substantial and complete, suitable for submitting learning reflections or reviews.
Artificial intelligence is not just an assistive tool for our work; the book introduces many other capabilities. For instance, AI-generated videos can now be so realistic that when we scroll through short videos, we sometimes cannot distinguish whether they are real or fake unless labeled as AI.
In the medical field, if we provide AI with patient examination data, the treatment plans it generates can be as accurate as those from medical experts. The future development of AI as a human caregiver or life companion, as seen in science fiction movies, is likely to be realized soon.
Faced with this irreversible trend, we may all have some concerns about basic jobs being completely replaced by artificial intelligence. However, we need to do more than just observe and worry; we must actively understand these cutting-edge technologies, learn to use them, and gradually accept their existence to bring more convenience to our work and lives.
Just like in the era of the Industrial Revolution, when horse-drawn carriages were eventually replaced by cars, the carriage drivers who tried to destroy machines or protest to keep their jobs found it impossible and unrealistic. Those who first mastered the skill of driving cars became the first generation of drivers. Only by following the trend of the times can we survive and enjoy the benefits of the era.
Therefore, learning and understanding AI is not just advisable but necessary. To avoid being left behind by this era, we should actively embrace advanced technologies and continuously move forward with the trend of development.
