Hello everyone, I am Gao Mengfei. Today I want to discuss a very practical topic—how to make AI-generated content sound less like it was written by a robot.
Have you ever tried using AI to generate content, only to find it reads dry and robotic? Even though it contains all the information, it just lacks that human touch.
Initially, I struggled with this too. However, I gradually figured out the key lies not in the AI itself, but in the prompts.
Prompts are like “instructions” given to the AI; the clearer and more “human-like” the instructions are, the more natural the output will be.
I have summarized three particularly useful methods that you can start using right away.
1. Don’t be lazy, provide clear context
The biggest fear of AI is vague instructions.
For example, if you write: “Write an introduction for a public account about autumn.”
It might return: “Autumn is the season of harvest, the weather is cool, and leaves are falling…” (Doesn’t it sound just like a primary school essay?)
But if you say: “Help me write an introduction for a public account aimed at female readers around 30 years old, with a warm and healing style, incorporating elements like coffee, sweaters, and evening walks.”
The effect is immediately different.
Because the AI now has a visual and target audience, it knows how to evoke the right “emotions”.
This is similar to chatting with someone; the more information you provide, the better they know how to respond.
2. Give it a “persona”, not a tool persona
Don’t treat it like a robot; treat it like “a certain type of person next to you”.
For instance, don’t say: “Write a product promotion copy.”
Instead, say: “Assume you are a 25-year-old woman who is great at recommending products, speaking with a bit of humor, and using a conversational tone to recommend this product, just like chatting with a close friend.”
You can even be more specific: “Use the tone of a Xiaohongshu influencer, include emojis, keep sentences short, and avoid being verbose.”
The clearer the persona, the more the language style resembles that of a real person.
Because it is mimicking the expression habits of “a type of person”, rather than a generic writing style.
3. The most useful tip: Let AI “revise” instead of “generate”
If you find writing prompts cumbersome, there’s a shortcut:
First, write a paragraph yourself (even if it’s poorly written or filled with filler, that’s okay), then give it to the AI and tell it:
“Help me optimize the above paragraph, keeping my original meaning but making it smoother and more engaging. Please maintain a conversational tone and avoid formal language.”
This way, the AI is adjusting based on your language rather than generating from scratch. It carries “your shadow” rather than cold machine logic.
This tip is especially suitable for beginners and is almost foolproof.
Finally, I want to say that no matter how powerful AI is, it is just a tool.
Tools have no emotions, but people do.
What truly touches hearts is your genuine attitude, your unique perspective, and your sincere desire to share.
AI can help you improve efficiency and supplement inspiration, but it cannot replace the emotional resonance between you and your readers.
So, don’t rely on AI; learn to use it wisely.
Remember this: techniques are just tools, but sincerity is the real key to traffic.
