From November 29 to December 1, 2025, this summit on the sensor industry, themed “Perceiving the World, Innovating the Future,” will once again kick off in Zhengzhou. In 2018, the first World Sensor Conference was held in Zhengzhou. The “Zhengzhou Consensus” initiated at that time has laid a profound foundation for creating the global sensor industry “Zhengzhou” symbol, while also opening a new chapter in the development of Zhengzhou’s sensor industry.
In 2019, the planning of the China (Zhengzhou) Intelligent Sensor Valley was officially released, and the Zhengzhou High-tech Zone Management Committee responded by issuing various supporting policies for the development of the sensor industry.
From the “Zhengzhou Consensus” to the “Sensor Valley” planning, Zhengzhou’s sensor industry has achieved a leap from concept to implementation.
Now, six years later, Zhengzhou has risen to become a national hub for the sensor industry: gathering leading companies such as Hanwei Technology, Guangli Technology, and Xintian Technology, with over 2,900 sensor-related enterprises, including 443 high-tech enterprises; the industry scale has exceeded 32 billion yuan, with a domestic market share of over 70% for gas sensors and 15% for gas detection instruments, both ranking first in the country; the high-tech zone leads the way, ranking fourth among the “Top Ten Sensor Parks in China” and first in Central China…
Currently, “Zhengzhou Sensors” has taken off, becoming an industrial symbol with global recognition, and the annual sensor conference has evolved from a simple industry meeting into the most prestigious, influential, and result-oriented platform in China’s sensor field.

As we enter the seventh year, how can this conference remain relevant after seven years?
Zhang Tong, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Instrument and Control Society, told reporters that this year’s conference adopts a new model of “1+8+6″—1 opening ceremony and keynote report, 8 professional forums, and 6 concurrent activities, covering the entire innovation chain from technology research and development, industrial implementation, talent gathering to capital connection.
The sub-venues fully implement a “government-guided + market-led” mechanism. This year, the focus will be on national strategic directions such as “embodied” and “new energy vehicle sensors,” and new additions like MEMS equipment and materials, directly addressing industry pain points and technological frontiers. Notably, Zhengzhou Jiaan High-tech has proactively included its self-organized “Integrated Circuit Talent Training Forum” into the conference system and fully funded it, indicating a significant step forward in the marketization of this year’s conference platform.
The 2025 Sensor Conference not only discusses technology but also emphasizes implementation. It is reported that this year’s main venue will continue the strong momentum of signing 42 projects worth 28.4 billion yuan last year, with a special signing ceremony for sensor industry projects, accelerating the landing of a batch of high-energy projects and further expanding Zhengzhou’s industrial scale. Multiple sub-forums will set up closed-door negotiations and supply-demand matching, with the new energy vehicle special session inviting vehicle manufacturers to release procurement lists on-site, bridging the “last mile” of industry-university-research application, showcasing a clear results-oriented approach.
Moreover, it is worth noting that this year’s sensor conference has confirmed the attendance of 10 domestic and foreign academicians, deep participation from 10 international organizations, and representatives from universities, research institutions, and enterprises from 14 countries and regions gathering in Zhengzhou, creating an unprecedentedly strong lineup of guests and increasing international influence. The cutting-edge technologies and intellectual resources brought will help tackle “bottleneck” issues and further promote the “China Sensor Valley” from “scale leadership” to “innovation leadership.”
