【Abstract】: With the rapid development of technology, AIOT technology is continuously evolving and being applied across various industries, providing numerous possibilities for transformation in traditional fields. In the healthcare sector, hospital security management is a crucial aspect of daily safety management, effectively maintaining the normal operational order of hospitals while protecting the life and property safety of patients and medical staff, as well as the hospital’s social image and reputation. Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan, under national requirements and support, some domestic top-tier hospitals have entered the era of “one hospital, multiple districts.” According to incomplete statistics, since 2020, nearly 20 regions across the country and 102 public top-tier hospitals have initiated branch construction, adding 128,000 new beds with an investment amount reaching 180 billion. This indicates that the “one hospital, multiple districts” model is gradually becoming a development trend among comprehensive top-tier hospitals.

This article focuses on the empowerment of smart security management upgrades in multi-district hospitals through AIOT technology under new circumstances. It first analyzes the advantages of applying AIOT technology in hospital smart security management, and then delves into the construction of a multi-district smart security organizational structure, deployment of high-definition intelligent cameras, and intelligent transformation of fire safety equipment, aiming to provide reference materials for related research.
The healthcare industry is a vital sector closely related to people’s lives. In recent years, due to the pandemic, there has been a significant understanding and support for the healthcare industry, and disputes between medical staff and patients have greatly eased. However, as time changes, due to the unique nature of hospital work and the uncertainties in medical treatment, conflicts between medical staff and patients have re-emerged as a social focus. Additionally, due to the unique architecture of hospitals, some buildings are quite old and pose certain fire safety hazards. Therefore, how to combine the development of hospitals to build a comprehensive security management system has become a key issue for hospitals to explore.
Based on AIOT technology, favorable conditions are created for hospitals to achieve security management upgrade goals. When necessary, the introduction of artificial intelligence and IoT technologies can integrate, intelligently analyze, and precisely control security elements in hospitals, fundamentally ensuring the orderly conduct of security management work.
1. Advantages of AIOT Technology in Hospital Smart Security Management
(1) Helps Improve Security Management Efficiency
AIoT technology constructs a complete closed-loop system based on intelligent sensors, edge computing devices, etc., involving data intercommunication and intelligent decision-making. For example, when conducting fire management work, installing IoT smoke sensors can grasp changes in smoke concentration in milliseconds, allowing the system to directly issue commands to the fire pump for timely response without human involvement. In security patrol scenarios, robots based on AI vision algorithms can directly identify specific congestion points in fire escape routes and monitor equipment operation status, showing significant advantages compared to manual operations.Additionally, by introducing AI video analysis technology, the system can clearly present desired images, such as violent conflicts and abandoned items, effectively transforming passive post-event responses into proactive interventions, significantly improving the response time to security incidents.(2) Helps Improve Security Management PrecisionAIoT technology, based on deep learning algorithms and multimodal data interconnections, ensures a certain level of precision in security management. When detecting dangerous items, modeling knives and controlled instruments combined with visual recognition technology can not only reduce false alarm rates but also improve detection efficiency. During the analysis of personnel trajectories, the system can enhance tracking accuracy based on gait and clothing color characteristics. For the management of commonly used medications in medical settings, the visual recognition function in the AIoT system can reduce the error rate in inventory checks and present clear medication flow records. Finally, constructing a comprehensive behavior analysis model is crucial. The system can quickly identify normal activities and undesirable behaviors, conducting dynamic assessments based on the generated data, thereby reducing the system’s false alarm rate while providing a solid foundation for effective security decision-making in hospitals.
2. Important Measures for AIOT Technology Empowering Smart Security Management Upgrades in Multi-District Hospitals under New Circumstances
1. Current Situation Analysis(1) Building a Multi-District Smart Security Organizational StructureFirst, establish a unified security management center. To improve the quality and efficiency of security work across various districts, it is essential to prioritize the construction of the security management center, requiring active participation from each district to jointly formulate and optimize security strategies and coordinate their respective security resources. It is also necessary to recruit and introduce a large number of high-quality, high-level talents to ensure the overall team level of the security management center is enhanced, allowing it to fully leverage its advantages. When necessary, introduce a security management platform to timely understand the specific dynamics of each district’s security, uniformly processing the generated security data. For example, by building a robust security management platform based on AIoT technology, data generated from video surveillance and alarm systems in each district can be combined, allowing management personnel to view the specific situation of each district, such as personnel entering and exiting the hospital, effectively controlling security work across multiple districts.Secondly, clarify the work responsibilities of each department. Analyzing the smart security management system of each district reveals that defining the work responsibilities of each department is crucial. Hospitals not only have security management centers but also information and logistics departments, which present clear advantages within the security management center. For instance, the logistics department primarily maintains and manages relevant facilities within the hospital to ensure the safe operation of security equipment, while the information department is responsible for supporting AIoT technology, including system development and upgrades.Clearly defining the work responsibilities of each department can create a collaborative security management network, facilitating the smooth conduct of security work across various districts.(2) Deployment of High-Definition Intelligent CamerasInstall high-definition intelligent cameras at the entrances and exits of each district, outpatient lobbies, and operating rooms. Their primary function is based on video encoding technology, leveraging high-definition imaging and clear shooting advantages in low-light environments to present facial features of individuals and vehicle license plates clearly in any environment. Moreover, the cameras utilize various AI intelligent analysis algorithms to compare collected facial images with the hospital personnel information database in real-time, thereby determining whether individuals have entered designated areas. By introducing behavior analysis algorithms, the system can promptly grasp specific dynamics of personnel, and if any issues are detected, the system immediately responds and informs the security management center. Based on object recognition algorithms, it can quickly identify dangerous items and fire safety equipment, triggering alarms in case of any anomalies. For example, installing high-definition intelligent cameras at the entrance of the operating room ensures that only authorized medical personnel can enter, safeguarding the smooth conduct of surgeries and enhancing the security of the operating room.(3) Intelligent Transformation of Fire Safety EquipmentRegularly conducting intelligent upgrades and transformations of fire safety equipment has become an important foundation for improving the smart fire safety level of each district. For fire extinguishers, they should be equipped with MEMS pressure sensors and RFID technology, which can monitor internal pressure and remaining agent quantity, and also utilize a three-axis accelerometer within the chip to identify abnormal movements and falls of the extinguisher. If thresholds are met, the system can leverage the advantages of the IoT wireless platform to directly transmit alarm information to the fire management platform, indicating the specific location of the equipment to support relevant personnel in their work. When transforming fire hydrants, installing small pressure sensors and IoT valve monitors can provide timely insights into water pressure fluctuations. If necessary, applying image recognition technology can clearly present the status of hoses, and if any abnormalities occur, the system will immediately issue alarms and relay messages to relevant personnel. Finally, when transforming fire pumps, utilizing edge computing controllers can monitor operational parameters throughout the day. The system can integrate data on rotation speed and flow, and also introduce AI fault diagnosis algorithms to promptly monitor abnormal bearing temperatures and apply corresponding methods to address them.
4. Conclusion
In summary, under new circumstances, AIOT technology has been effectively applied in the healthcare industry, providing numerous possibilities for innovation in smart security management in multi-district hospitals. By combining intelligent perception with IoT networks, not only can data information be shared, but risk warnings can also be presented with high efficiency. It is hoped that in the future, AIOT technology will continue to innovate and optimize, ensuring the smooth conduct of security work within multi-district hospitals and improving work quality and efficiency.
