For example, in the case of smart curtain applications, the installation and debugging phase typically requires configuring parameters such as the motor’s stroke and speed, but the Matter standard has not yet covered these specialized configuration functions, even in the latest version. In contrast, BLE direct connection allows for quick networking and control without a gateway, significantly enhancing user operation efficiency.

Multi-Protocol Compatibility and Low-Cost Implementation
The solution accommodates multi-protocol adaptation capabilities, operating in scenarios such as Thread, Wi-Fi, and RS-485, while maintaining compatibility with existing BLE implementations. The additional code volume added to the Matter firmware is about 10%, which does not significantly increase firmware size or maintenance costs; it only requires support for Bluetooth 4.2 standards, ensuring broad hardware compatibility. Furthermore, the proprietary protocol can operate independently of the Matter environment, providing flexible application possibilities for non-Matter projects.

Leading Pairing and Security Design
The solution supports a faster pairing mode. During the first pairing, both parties exchange temporary public keys and device certificates, and perform signature verification to complete secure pairing. The entire process takes less than 10 seconds. After the first successful pairing, both the device and mobile application will save encrypted credentials (Credential Cache), allowing subsequent pairings to complete identity verification and session establishment directly based on these credentials, reducing pairing time to 1-2 seconds, greatly enhancing user experience, especially suitable for bulk installation and debugging scenarios.
The solution employs the industry-recognized ECDH algorithm, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of key exchange based on PKI. The device side reuses the built-in DAC of Matter, avoiding additional storage and computation overhead. The solution also innovatively introduces a control-side certificate (CAC), requiring the control side to provide legitimacy proof, effectively preventing counterfeit applications from attacking the device. All certificates are issued by internationally recognized CA organizations, ensuring the authority and international recognition of the security chain.

As high-end smartphones (such as the iPhone 15 Pro series, Google Pixel 7 series, and Pixel Tablet) gradually support direct connection to Thread, more devices will be able to complete pairing and control directly through Thread.
