Overview
Description
The CT8229 touch detection IC is a touch chip designed using capacitive sensing principles. This chip features a built-in voltage regulator for the touch sensor, providing stable touch performance applicable in various scenarios. The human touch panel can be connected through non-conductive insulating materials, primarily used to replace mechanical switches or buttons. This chip can independently support 8 or 16 touch keys.

When no keys are touched for a period, the chip system recalibrates in approximately 4.0 seconds

Package and Pin Definitions


Note: The above are three different package pin definitions.
CT8229-LSF is an 8-channel input with 8 IO output/16-channel input IC bus output, with interrupt signal SDO output; CT8229-KSF is an 8-channel input with 8 IO output/16-channel input I2C bus output, allowing two ICs to be mounted on the bus simultaneously; CT8229-MOB is an 8-channel input with 2-wire serial (SPI) output.
Note: Pin Types
I => CMOS Input I-PH => CMOS Input with Pull-up Resistor I-PL => CMOS Input with Pull-down Resistor
O => CMOS Output I/O => CMOS Input/Output P => Power/Ground OD => CMOS Open Drain Output;
(Under OD output, the open-drain outputs of pins TPQ0~TPQ7 have diode protection circuits, while the SDA pin does not)
