1. Basic Information
The second party branch of the Human Resource Management major currently has 346 members. In the construction of the party branch and the ideological education work for students, it has always been committed to exploring efficient and innovative work models. Recently, to deeply implement the mission of cultural inheritance, the party branch organized a series of activities themed around the inheritance of canal culture, aiming to stimulate students’ love for traditional culture through a collaborative education mechanism, enhancing their ideological quality and practical abilities, achieving significant results.
2. Main Practices
(1) Highlighting the Construction of Collaborative Education Mechanisms to Unite Three Forces
In the planning and execution of the “Youth Canal Journey” activity, the party and youth organizations fully played their leading roles. The party branch established a special planning group to deeply study the connotations of canal culture and its integration with ideological education, developing an activity plan that includes cultural research, creative design, and project incubation. After the plan was issued, the youth branch actively responded, quickly convening a branch meeting to clarify task assignments for each class, detailing the activity content down to each class and individual. At the class level, class committees organized themed class meetings to mobilize all students to participate, forming research groups on canal culture and creative design groups based on students’ strengths, ensuring that the activities were implemented for every student.
During the progress of the activities, the party and youth organizations held regular joint meetings to communicate on activity progress and promptly resolve emerging issues. For example, during the cultural research phase, some groups encountered unclear research directions. The party branch quickly organized professional teachers for guidance, while the youth branch assisted in arranging training times and venues, and classes organized students to actively participate in training. Through close cooperation among the three parties, the quality of the research was effectively improved, laying a solid foundation for subsequent activities and forming a strong synergy of party and youth organizations leading and classes implementing.
(2) Focusing on Innovative Practices in Ideological Education Activities to Enhance Educational Effectiveness
In terms of creative ideas, the activities broke through traditional models by combining canal culture with innovation and entrepreneurship, proposing the concept of “Cultural Soul, Innovative Wings,” encouraging students to inherit and innovate canal culture through the design of cultural and creative products, short video creation, and the development of canal culture-themed projects. In the preparatory phase, the party branch collaborated with professional teachers to conduct lectures on canal culture and innovation and entrepreneurship training, providing students with knowledge and skill support; the youth branch was responsible for material preparation and venue coordination; classes organized students to sign up for competitions and conducted internal selections.
The implementation steps were divided into three phases: cultural research, creative design, and project incubation. In the cultural research phase, students went deep into areas along the canal, using field visits, interviews, and data collection to uncover stories of canal culture; in the creative design phase, students leveraged their professional advantages to design canal-themed cultural and creative products and marketing plans; in the project incubation phase, the party branch invited corporate mentors and experts to guide the projects, helping students refine their projects. Ultimately, the activities not only deepened students’ understanding of canal culture but also stimulated their innovative thinking and entrepreneurial enthusiasm, achieving an organic combination of ideological education and professional ability cultivation.
(3) Presenting a Problem-Solving and Effectiveness Evaluation System to Promote Sustainable Development
During the activities, in response to issues such as poor communication and incomplete systems, the party branch implemented a series of improvement measures. In terms of system improvement, a “Activity Project Management Method” was formulated, clarifying responsibilities and assessment standards for each link; in terms of work method improvement, a project management model was introduced, breaking the activities into multiple sub-projects with designated personnel responsible; in terms of communication channel optimization, a combined online and offline communication mechanism was established, utilizing WeChat groups, Tencent meetings, and other platforms to promptly convey information, while also regularly organizing face-to-face communication activities to ensure accurate information transmission.
Regarding the effectiveness evaluation system, evaluations were conducted from multiple dimensions such as activity participation, project quality, and educational effectiveness. Surveys were conducted to understand students’ satisfaction with the activities, experts were invited to review and score the projects, and the results of students in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions were combined to comprehensively assess the effectiveness of the activities. Ultimately, the activities achieved key team incubation, winning one national-level award in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and five municipal-level achievements, fully demonstrating the effectiveness and innovativeness of the activities.
3. Experience Insights
The successful implementation of the canal culture inheritance activities has provided valuable experience for the work of the party branch. First, the collaborative education mechanism is key to the success of the activities; only through close cooperation among the party and youth organizations and classes can a strong synergy be formed. Second, innovative practices are an important way to enhance educational effectiveness; combining ideological education with professional practice and innovation and entrepreneurship can effectively stimulate students’ enthusiasm and creativity. Third, a problem-solving and effectiveness evaluation system is a guarantee for the continuous improvement of activities; timely identification and resolution of issues, along with the establishment of a scientific evaluation system, helps to continuously improve the quality of activities.
In future work, the party branch will continue to deepen the collaborative education mechanism, constantly innovate the forms of ideological education activities, and improve the problem-solving and effectiveness evaluation system, striving to cultivate high-quality talents with both moral integrity and professional competence, and promote the high-quality development of party branch construction and student ideological education work.
