1. Basic Situation
In the new era, ideological and political work in universities faces numerous new challenges such as diverse ideological values, varied student demands, and complex educational methods. The deep structural contradictions existing in traditional ideological education are gradually becoming apparent: the grassroots organizations of the Party are limited in their role as a fighting fortress, the work of the League branches is scattered and lacks coordination, and class work lacks political guidance, making it difficult to gather educational synergy. Although the Party branch, League branch, and class work closely together, they have not truly integrated; the mainstream situation remains one of “individual efforts,” with each working on their own front, making it difficult to achieve comprehensive and three-dimensional coverage of student value guidance and ideological leadership. The Marketing and E-commerce major aims to “break down barriers, integrate resources, and enhance collaboration” by exploring a new path for the “integrated management” of Party, League, and class, organically unifying the resolution of students’ ideological issues with practical problems, thus providing a mechanism guarantee for bridging the “last mile” of ideological education.
2. Main Practices
(1) Improvement of the Institutional System: Tightening the Organizational Chain of Integration
Reconstructing the organization to strengthen the core: The original Party branch, League branch, and class committee have been unified into an “integrated two-wing” model. The League branch and class carry out various tasks under the leadership of the Party branch, with the deputy secretary of the Party branch also serving as the class League secretary, and the organizational committee member also serving as the class monitor. Key class members hold cross-positions in the Party and League branches, achieving a “dual responsibility” model that ensures the core leadership role of the Party branch is realized in daily operations, significantly improving the quality of Party, League, and class work.
Coupling of systems for long-term effectiveness: Comprehensive integration of discussion procedures and activity plans, merging the discussion of Party groups with the mechanisms of League and class meetings, clarifying the organizational principles and process framework for collaborative work. The Party branch leads the formulation of a work plan each semester, coordinating thematic educational activities, volunteer service practices, and daily work arrangements, avoiding “multiple directives and overlapping content,” greatly improving work efficiency.
Integrated evaluation to enhance motivation: An integrated evaluation and incentive system has been established, with the effectiveness of collaborative work among the Party, League, and class as an important indicator for evaluating the Party branch, League branch, and class awards. Individual evaluations of students are designed to be interconnected, incorporating the exemplary role of Party members, the achievements of League members, and the contributions of the class into a comprehensive quality assessment, achieving a deep integration of ideological evaluation with academic development.
(2) Improvement of Work Methods: Creating a Collaborative Action Model
Specialized design and collaborative promotion: Establishing collaborative project teams for Party, League, and class around important nodes and student concerns, with unified goals, plans, and shared responsibilities. For example, in the construction of dormitory safety culture, the Party branch undertakes ideological mobilization and publicity work, the League organization is responsible for cultural and sports activities in the dormitory, and the class is responsible for discipline education and daily management, forming a closed loop of work with “one task, one group, integrated responsibilities.”
Grid management for precise service: Relying on the division of student dormitory buildings into a three-level basic grid unit of “Party group – League group – dormitory,” the Party group leader serves as the grid counselor assistant, clarifying the service task list, extending the ideological and political education front to the grassroots. The Party branch identifies students facing academic difficulties, psychological issues, or family hardships within the grid as targets for paired assistance, establishing a regular information database for connection, achieving “no blind spots” in service and dynamic supervision.
Practical linkage for value cultivation: Deeply integrating the content and forms of thematic Party days, League days, and class practical activities, leveraging the political advantages of Party and League organizations to ensure class activities possess ideological depth and action power. For instance, around the theme of rural revitalization social practice, the Party branch leads the formulation of a plan, the League branch organizes explanations, and all class students sign up to participate, guiding students to integrate personal ideals with national needs through practice.
3. Experience Insights
The exploration and practice of the “integrated mechanism of Party, League, and class” in the Marketing and E-commerce major provides valuable insights for constructing a systematic ideological education framework. It promotes organizational integration, breaks down organizational barriers, and reconstructs collaborative processes, allowing the “one chessboard” mentality to take root and translate into actual results. The mechanism is interconnected, using discussion rules to clarify work ideas, using assessment and evaluation to drive collective action, and using project linkages to break down responsibility barriers, solving the problem of fragmented work and forming a sustained driving force. It responds to student needs through grid-based services, project-based practices, and precise assistance, ensuring that political guidance and value cultivation permeate the specific details of daily life.
The integrated management mechanism of Party, League, and class is an innovative path and efficiency revolution for ideological work with students in the new era. By reshaping the system to eliminate obstacles, driving collaboration through organizational integration, and enhancing precision through problem orientation, it achieves the institutionalization, normalization, and efficiency of ideological work, ensuring that the fundamental task of fostering virtue and cultivating people is effectively advanced and implemented in daily operations.
