For students in the electrical engineering program, dreams are not just distant slogans, but the currents flowing on circuit boards and the motors running on training platforms. Now, let us see how these electrical students use their skills to write their own dream-chasing stories.
Dreams Begin on the 29th, the Flame of Knowledge Passes On
Every year on November 29, China Dream Day holds profound significance. The number 11 corresponds to the “Two Centenary Goals,” while 29 symbolizes “long-lasting,” commemorating the proposal of the “Chinese Dream” and conveying the expectation of dreams enduring. Since the first China Dream Day conference in 2012, this holiday has become a spiritual coordinate for dream chasers.
In the classrooms of the electrical engineering program, this spirit of chasing dreams is passed down from generation to generation. Teachers teach not only wiring techniques but also the original intention of empowering society with electrical technology, helping every student understand that ordinary skills can also carry great dreams.
Skills Build the Foundation, Electrical Draws the Original Intention
The electrical program is known for its “hardcore” nature; without a solid foundation, it is difficult to stand in the industry. For electrical students, skill enhancement is never an overnight process but is hidden in every ordinary day. In class, they focus on the complex circuit diagrams on the blackboard, memorizing the functions and parameters of each component, repeatedly pondering the practical applications of Ohm’s Law and Kirchhoff’s Laws, afraid to miss any knowledge point; after class, the training workshop becomes their “main battlefield,” holding multimeters, repeatedly practicing precise measurements of voltage and current, even a one-decimal error will lead to re-adjustments and striving for perfection; when facing PLC control systems, they write code line by line, simulating operations and troubleshooting until the program can accurately drive the equipment to operate.
During the practice for skill competitions, it is a test of endurance and attention to detail. To troubleshoot a hidden short circuit fault, students often squat beside the equipment, checking the continuity of cables section by section, reviewing schematics, and discussing analyses, completely unaware that their clothes are soaked with sweat. Some say electrical work is tedious and hard, but for dream-chasing students, every skill enhancement and every problem solved is a valuable gain on the road to growth. This craftsmanship honed through hard work is the solid foundation for their pursuit of dreams.
