Model Worker Spirit
To deeply learn and implement the spirit of model workers and inspire freshmen to become high-quality laborers in the new era, on the evening of September 16, the School of Information Engineering and Internet of Things organized all freshmen of the Class of 2025 to watch the first live broadcast of the 2025 series of presentations on “Model Worker Spirit, Labor Spirit, and Craftsman Spirit” during their evening study period. This event was guided by the Ministry of Education and jointly organized by multiple units, aiming to lead young students to establish correct labor concepts and employment views through the personal stories of national model workers and advanced workers.
The first live broadcast, themed “Grateful for a Great Era, Innovation Reflects Value,” invited national craftsman Wang Shujun as the keynote speaker. Wang Shujun shared his journey of overcoming the “bottleneck” in equipment maintenance and climbing to the peak of equipment manufacturing, using his personal experiences to interpret the profound connotation of the model worker spirit. His story deeply moved every student who watched, and after the broadcast, the school organized freshmen to write reflections, where they shared their understanding and insights on the model worker spirit based on their own experiences. Xia Yuhan from Big Data 2501 expressed that as a youth in the new era, one should take this as a beacon, hone skills, cultivate craftsmanship, integrate personal efforts into national development, and write a regret-free youth with practical actions.
