Have you ever encountered the problem where your phone prompts “SD card is corrupted, may need to be reformatted”? The SD card was just fine a moment ago, and suddenly this issue appears. When you connect your phone to the computer, it only shows the internal storage, and the SD card drive disappears…
Using the methods found online for low-level formatting of the SD card can solve the issue, but you will lose all the data on the memory card, especially very important files, which could lead to significant losses… After much searching, I finally found the following methods that can perfectly solve this problem. The methods are as follows: For WIN XP 1. Remove the SD card from the phone, insert it into a card reader, and connect it to the computer’s USB port. The computer will display a removable disk. 2. Open Start – Run – CMD. 3. In CMD, execute “chkdsk /f h:” (h is the drive letter of my SD card; if yours is drive f, write f). 4. Press Enter, and the repair will begin (the process may take a few minutes). 5. After the repair, right-click on the SD card properties – Tools – Start Check – check both “Automatically fix file system errors” and “Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors”. 6. Reinsert the SD card into the phone, and you will find that the problem is resolved. For WIN 7 (and above)
1. Connect the phone to the computer via a data cable; you will see an additional “removable disk” in “My Computer”, assuming this disk’s drive letter is G;
2. Click “Start -> Run”, or use the shortcut key “Win key + r”;
3. Enter the command: “chkdsk /f G:” (the command is inside quotes), click the “OK” button to start repairing the SD card;
4. After the repair is complete, right-click on the SD card drive letter -> select “Properties” -> select the “Tools” tab;
5. Click the “Start Check” button, check “Automatically fix file system errors” and “Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors”, and click the “Start” button; You can also give it a try~
