CA-DV8008N and CA-DV8008TB support a sink current capability of 500mA per channel, with output port voltage ratings up to 50V. They feature built-in clamp diodes to handle inductive loads, making them suitable for driving loads such as stepper motors, DC motors, relays, and solenoids.

CA-DV8008N and CA-DV8008TB support a fast I2C bus with a maximum clock rate of 400kHz, and have three addressable pins (A2~A0), allowing up to 8 CA-DV8008 chips to be connected on the same bus. The SCL and SDA pins operate at CMOS logic levels, and the logic side power supply VCC supports a voltage range of 3V to 5.5V, allowing direct connection to 3.3V/5V controllers with a common power supply.

Features of CA-DV8008N and CA-DV8008TB:

Typical Applications

CA-DV8008N is used for driving stepper motors.

CA-DV8008 can be used to drive 2 four-phase five-wire stepper motors. The logic side power supply VCC can share power with the microcontroller, supporting a voltage range of 3V to 5.5V. During use, SCL and SDA must be pulled up to VCC through resistors, and the device address can be set by shorting the A2~A0 pins to VCC or GND. The CA-DV8008 has built-in clamp diodes, which connect to the system high-voltage power supply to provide a current return path when turning off inductive loads.
