What is a Smart Shelf
A smart shelf is a solution that upgrades traditional shelves using modern Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data, and sensor technologies. It is no longer just a simple physical display rack, but an intelligent terminal that integrates data collection, analysis, interaction, and management.

Main Technologies and Working Principles
1. Weight Sensors (Weighing Plates): Installed under each tray on the shelf. They can monitor the weight changes of goods in real-time, thus determining the quantity of goods.
2. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Tags: A unique RFID tag can be attached to each item. The reader on the shelf can read all tag information from a distance and in bulk, enabling rapid inventory checks and item location, while also effectively preventing theft.
3. Display Screens: Used to display item information such as name, quantity, specifications, etc.
4. Backend Management System: Manages personnel, goods, permissions, etc. Smart shelves typically need to integrate with existing enterprise systems like ERP to synchronize real-time inventory data with the main system, thus driving the automation of business processes.
Smart shelves have been widely used in modern warehousing and logistics, achieving real-time dynamic inventory management, automatic inventory checks, and intelligent restocking through sensor, RFID, and AI visual recognition technologies, significantly improving sorting efficiency and accuracy, and promoting the automation and intelligence upgrade of warehousing.
