On November 26, Linwu County’s Bawan Primary School welcomed a special “new teacher”: the AI intelligent robot, which officially opened a unique artificial intelligence education class, allowing children to explore the mysteries of technology.
In the classroom, the appearance of the “AI new teacher” instantly ignited the students’ enthusiasm for learning. The students personally controlled the expressions, actions, and voices of the “Little Fat” robot, experiencing intelligent functions such as distance measurement firsthand, and feeling the charm of artificial intelligence technology up close. This course combined real-life scenarios, transforming abstract programming logic such as “nesting, judgment, and loops” into intuitive practical tasks, simultaneously cultivating students’ logical thinking, mathematical application, spatial imagination, and teamwork skills through fun interactions.
“I had only seen robots on TV before, but today I can attend class with it, which feels particularly fresh. I want to learn more about artificial intelligence in the future,” said student Wang Aojie excitedly.
It is understood that the “AI intelligent Little Fat” robot that has entered the campus was developed by Beijing Evolver Robot Technology Co., Ltd., which has long been dedicated to the field of educational robots. The AI intelligent Little Fat robot’s curriculum system includes diverse content such as board programming, scientific exploration, and patriotic education, supporting teachers in customizing courses according to teaching needs, flexibly adapting to primary school education scenarios. Additionally, the course is equipped with resources from the Ministry of Education’s whitelist events, giving children the opportunity to apply what they learn and participate in national-level competitions.
According to Luo Qingjun, head of the Basic Education Division of the Linwu County Education Bureau, our county is fully promoting the popularization of artificial intelligence education. By building high-quality communication platforms through open classes, we are introducing quality intelligent teaching resources. In the future, we will promote the deep integration of AI with subjects, advance the introduction of intelligent teaching tools into schools and classrooms, and strengthen teacher quality training, allowing technology to empower educational equity and cultivate more innovative talents.
