Innovative R&D and Testing in Parallel
Frontier Achievements in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics on Display
In the AI and robotics specialty building W7, the Chengdu Humanoid Robot Innovation Center is accelerating the R&D and testing of several domestically and globally leading robotic technologies.

The “Gongga No. 1” ultra-lightweight wheeled humanoid robot serves in home scenarios.
As the only one in the country and one of only three globally, the “Gongga No. 1” ultra-lightweight wheeled humanoid robot can adapt to various home service scenarios, autonomously completing tasks such as item delivery and environmental cleaning, enhancing the level of intelligence in home life and elderly care.

The Gongga No. 2 biped humanoid robot “Honghu”.
Meanwhile, the general-purpose “Honghu” biped humanoid robot is conducting data testing, serving as a physical carrier for task testing, scenario training, and data collection, providing valuable data support for the team.

The world’s first biped walking intelligent bionic dinosaur robot.
This “dinosaur” traversing the island’s green areas is the world’s first biped walking intelligent bionic dinosaur robot, integrating advanced bipedal stability walking technology, bionic structural design, and a multimodal AI intelligent interaction system. It features a highly realistic dinosaur appearance and movement logic, capable of walking autonomously with a highly lifelike gait and engaging in intelligent dialogue and educational interactions with visitors through its multimodal interaction system.

The world’s first AI neural network electronic skin.
Also achieving a technological breakthrough at this center is the world’s first AI neural network electronic skin, which sets new industry benchmarks with the highest force measurement accuracy, highest resolution, and highest perception frequency globally. This groundbreaking technology can provide tactile perception support for more robotic projects, making human-robot interaction more sensitive and fluid.
“These robotic products mainly conduct R&D testing and demonstration applications on the island. We value the real, open, and diverse technology validation environment provided by the Innovation Island. Here, we can quickly iterate product performance while visually demonstrating solutions to potential customers,” said a relevant person in charge at the Chengdu Humanoid Robot Innovation Center.

Comprehensive Coverage of Diverse Scenarios
Intelligent Service Robots Empowering Park Operations

The Guangmu unmanned security patrol vehicle.
As the islanders start their busy day, the park’s Guangmu unmanned security patrol vehicle has already begun its nth patrol of the day. This intelligent security vehicle, equipped with multiple sensors, slowly travels along a preset route, integrating technologies such as autonomous driving, AI large models, artificial intelligence, big data cloud services, and intelligent equipment manufacturing. Once it detects an anomaly, it can immediately report to the command center.

The building delivery service robot.
Meanwhile, the building delivery service robot is busy shuttling between office floors. It can autonomously call elevators, accurately avoid pedestrians, and deliver items to designated locations, becoming a reliable “logistics specialist” within the park.

The indoor delivery robot.
Another “courier”—the indoor delivery robot—is also showcasing its excellent service capabilities. It can safely, stably, and accurately complete various item delivery tasks, with a remarkable energy capacity of charging for 4 hours and running for 16 hours, making it a “thoughtful partner” in park services.

The intelligent guide robot.
In the public service area, the intelligent guide robot attracts visitors with its flexible movements and natural interaction style. It can answer various inquiries and recommend visiting routes based on user needs, with its mechanical arm covered in electronic skin ensuring the safety and reliability of the interaction process, even if it touches a person, it will not cause harm.

The coffee robot.
Located on the first floor of Hall 1, the coffee robot is the “star employee” of the island, working with dual mechanical arms to complete a customized coffee with beautiful latte art in just a few minutes, allowing people to feel the warmth brought by technology.

The chess robot.
Particularly loved by children is the chess robot stationed in the shared conference room on the third floor of W7, which can engage in intelligent matches with visitors, serving as an educational and entertaining intelligent assistant.

The intelligent digital guide.
The intelligent digital guide, supporting over 30 languages, provides seamless guiding services for international visitors with its highly natural human voice interaction. It is not only an excellent “host” but also receives frequent praise for its professional intelligent services.
“We deploy robots in the park to optimize service workflows through efficient collaboration between humans and intelligent robots. For example, the security vehicle is responsible for round-the-clock patrolling and early warning, while security personnel focus on handling critical incidents; delivery robots take on repetitive delivery tasks, allowing employees to concentrate on high-value services. This model not only enhances efficiency but also redefines the standards of intelligent services in the park.,” said a relevant person in charge at Chengdu Innovation Ecological Island.

Building a New Ecosystem of Intelligent Services
The Development Path from Technology Validation to Comprehensive Empowerment
From R&D testing to scenario applications, Innovation Island is becoming an important hub for robotic technology to transition from the laboratory to the market. Currently, the robots deployed on the island have formed a rich, layered, and collaborative intelligent service ecosystem. On the R&D side, the Chengdu Humanoid Robot Innovation Center continues to drive breakthroughs in cutting-edge technologies; on the application side, various service robots have penetrated every corner of the park, building a three-dimensional intelligent scene service network.

Currently, Chengdu Innovation Ecological Island is continuously building and upgrading the “technology validation-scenario adaptation-performance enhancement” promotion system. As batches of robots operate more stably and application models become clearer, their service scope is orderly expanding from existing fields such as security, logistics, and guiding to more new scenarios like low-carbon services, continuously enriching the “robot +” service matrix and paving the way for the next generation of intelligent service ecosystems for human-robot collaboration.
“We not only focus on breakthroughs in individual technologies but also emphasize the systematic construction of the robotic application ecosystem. With more robots “taking their positions” and supporting technology iterations, Innovation Island will continue to enhance intelligent service capabilities, creating a high ground for intelligent technology applications and scenario innovations in Southwest China,” said a relevant person in charge at Chengdu Innovation Ecological Island.

Today, these robots have become an indispensable part of the intelligent service system on Innovation Island. They each perform their duties while collaborating with one another, jointly constructing an efficient, intelligent, and technologically advanced park environment, injecting intelligent vitality into Chengdu’s technological innovation ecosystem.
