Summary of 15 ARM CPU Chip Design Companies in China

Currently, the mainstream CPU chip instruction set architectures mainly include x86, ARM, and RISC-V. Previously, I compiled a list of domestic RISC-V CPU chip design companies, which number over 40. The article link is as follows:

Summary of Domestic RISC-V CPU Design Companies, Surprisingly Over Forty!

This time, I will summarize the domestic ARM architecture CPU chip design companies. Compared to RISC-V chip companies, there are not as many ARM CPU chip companies, only a dozen, but that is still a significant number. Some of these companies design both RISC-V and ARM CPUs.

1. Huawei HiSilicon, established in 2004, can be considered the pioneer of domestic chip design, developing ARM cores and SoCs. Major products include the Kunpeng processor in the server domain and the Kirin processor in the mobile processor domain.

2. ARM China, develops ARM cores and IP independently, based in Beijing.

3. Alibaba Pingtouge, established in 2018, develops ARM server CPUs, mainly the Yitian series processors.

4. ZTE Microelectronics, established in 2003, develops ARM server CPUs, mainly the Everest series server processors.

5. Xiaomi Black Shark, established in 2021, develops mobile ARM SoCs. The currently mass-produced chip is the “Black Shark O1” SoC.

6. Rockchip, established in 2001, headquartered in Fuzhou, develops ARM IoT and AIoT processors, including flagship CPUs like RK3399 and RK3588.

7. Allwinner Technology, established in 2007, headquartered in Zhuhai, develops ARM embedded SoCs.

8. Borui Jingxin, established in 2021, currently headquartered in Zhuhai, develops ARM server CPUs.

9. Yuxian Micro, established in 2020, headquartered in Guangzhou, develops ARM server CPUs.

10. Hongjun Micro, established in 2021, currently headquartered in Guangzhou, develops ARM server CPUs.

11. CiXin Technology, established in 2021, headquartered in Shanghai, develops ARM SoC processors for PC and embedded fields.

12. Feiteng, established in 2014, headquartered in Tianjin, develops ARM cores and SoCs, with layouts including servers (Feiteng Cloud), desktops (Feiteng Sharp), and embedded (Feiteng Ling) fields.

13. XiaoDuan, established in 2022, completed Pre-A round financing in 2025, headquartered in Shenzhen. Develops RISC-V cores and ARM server CPUs.

14. ChipQing Technology, established in 2018, headquartered in Wuhan, develops ARM SoCs for automotive electronics.

15. Beijing Shudu, established in 2021, headquartered in Beijing, develops ARM server CPUs.

Additionally, if anyone knows of other ARM CPU chip companies, please feel free to add!
