Successful Casting of the First Single Blade Product by the New Sand Molding Milling Robot - A New Milestone in the Intelligent Transformation of the Foundry Industry

Recently, the Dalian Marine Propulsion Company, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, successfully completed the casting process of the first single blade product 115K developed in collaboration with the Wuxi Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Testing showed that the dimensional accuracy and surface finish of the casting met the preset standards, marking a key breakthrough for this robot in actual production scenarios and injecting new momentum into the intelligent upgrade of the foundry industry.

The new sand molding milling robot integrates flexible control, laser recognition, and precise parameter adjustment technologies, enabling it to automatically complete core processes such as sand molding milling and positioning of core assemblies. Compared to traditional manual operations, production efficiency has increased by more than 200%, while significantly reducing direct contact of operators with dust and high-temperature environments, effectively lowering occupational health risks.
