The Level C maintenance work for Unit #3 at Jinyang Power Plant began in September 2025. This maintenance focuses on ensuring the safe and stable operation of the unit, with strict attention to operational safety and maintenance quality. Key maintenance projects are being tackled, and all work is progressing in an orderly manner.

Safety is the lifeline of maintenance work. The power plant strengthens personnel access management and on-site process control to build a solid safety defense. A dedicated team of safety observers for Level C maintenance of Unit #3 has been established, acting as a “mobile defense line” that patrols critical areas such as high-altitude operations, temporary power use, and cross operations around the clock. They focus on monitoring the implementation of protective measures and compliance with operational standards, completing 38 hazard rectifications through a “discovery-correction-verification” closed-loop mechanism, covering details such as tool placement, wearing of protective gear, and risks like missing warning signs and equipment hoisting deviations. Daily pre-shift meetings include alcohol testing, and before each maintenance task, the technical leader organizes a safety briefing. Through process documents and safety videos, the operational steps, risk points, and emergency measures are clearly explained, ensuring all personnel understand safety requirements.
This Level C maintenance for Unit #3 includes many key projects, among which the inspection of the boiler’s anti-wear and anti-explosion features is of utmost importance. Technicians use advanced equipment such as endoscopes and thickness gauges to conduct detailed inspections of the boiler’s heated surface pipes, accurately identifying areas of wear and corrosion for timely repair or replacement, ensuring effective elimination of safety hazards. During the burner maintenance, maintenance personnel disassemble the burner, carefully clean internal dust and impurities, replace worn components, and optimize adjustments to improve combustion efficiency. In addressing leakage points in the water chamber of the gas pump mechanical seal, technicians first use ultrasonic leak detectors to accurately locate the leak points, then perform targeted treatments, replacing seals and applying sealant. After treatment, multiple pressure tests are conducted to ensure no further leakage issues arise. During the pre-pump maintenance, staff conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of key components such as impellers and bearings to ensure the stability and reliability of the pre-pump operation.
As of now, the Level C maintenance work for Unit #3 at Jinyang Power Plant has been completed by 50%, and all key maintenance projects are progressing smoothly as planned. Moving forward, the power plant will continue to uphold high standards for safety and quality to ensure the successful completion of this Level C maintenance work for Unit #3.
