Introducing! Modbus Master Station + DMA Preview!!

After reviewing everyone’s private messages and comments, I found that there is a high demand for information on the Modbus master station, as well as interest in how to use DMA to improve communication efficiency. Lastly, there is also some interest in Modbus TCP.

Over the past year, the timeline for introducing this series has been too long. Although I intended to take my time to ensure quality, it has become apparent from the video data that everyone is feeling “fatigued”. It is undeniable that a long timeline can become tedious, so I would like to conclude the knowledge dissemination on Modbus based on RS485.

Therefore, I will not elaborate further on the Modbus master station content. For those who need to use a Modbus master station in their work, I have selected a master station module that interacts using AT commands. This is a dual-channel Modbus master station module, and there is no software limit on the number of connected slaves; however, hardware optimization needs to be designed based on the number of connected slaves.

DMA can indeed greatly improve communication efficiency and reduce CPU load, so I intend to introduce this aspect to everyone. Please stay tuned.

As for Modbus TCP, it is still undecided. If there is a high demand later, I will consider producing an introductory video on this topic. As those who have seen my previous introductions know, freemodbus includes the Modbus TCP protocol, and this aspect of hardware requires Ethernet functionality. If anyone is interested, it is definitely worth discussing.
