On November 14, 2025, during the “Ascend CANN Open Source Salon – Zhejiang Station” event held in Hangzhou, the Global Computing Coalition (GCC) collaborated with Hangzhou Tiankuan Technology Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Artificial Intelligence Computing Center, and the Zhejiang Ascend Ecological Innovation Center to jointly launch the “CANN Ecosystem Co-Creation Plan,” marking a solid step forward for the GCC Intelligent Computing Industry Development Committee in the important field of heterogeneous computing software frameworks.

This event focused on the CANN open-source strategy, aiming to help Ascend ecosystem developers deeply understand the layered decoupling technology architecture and key technologies of CANN, accelerating the implementation of AI computing capabilities in Zhejiang and injecting new momentum into the intelligent upgrade of local advantageous industries. More than 260 partners and developers from various sectors participated.
As a highly influential industry organization in the global computing field, GCC was invited to participate in this event. GCC Intelligent Computing Industry Development Committee Executive Secretary Xiong Hua introduced the work ideas and plans of GCC to support the vigorous development of the CANN ecosystem.

GCC, as the first international industry and standards organization in the computing field in China, has participated in joint technology research and industrial development work in major areas of the computing industry. Based on a strong expert team from its strategic consulting committee, over 300 member units, and global industrial cooperation, it has gradually built its increasingly strong industrial influence. The GCC Intelligent Computing Industry Development Committee has formed five major industry special work areas around heterogeneous computing software frameworks and industry models, promoting key technology research and standardization, joint innovation, and the commercialization of key processes.
Leveraging GCC’s industry accumulation and mature ecological development experience, GCC will assist CANN in carrying out “Intelligent Computing + Industry” joint innovation, promoting the formation of industry consensus, co-building three aspects of the ecosystem, and leading the development of CANN industry applications in standard application and performance evaluation:
-
Promote the formation of industry consensus: Extract industry development viewpoints, explore new application scenarios, summarize excellent cases, and promote them for implementation across the industry.
-
CANN Operator Ecosystem: Collaborate with industry ISVs to co-build and accelerate the enhancement of Ascend development capabilities across the entire industry.
-
CANN Application Ecosystem: Connect various partners, drive the positive operation of the ecosystem, and stimulate more high-value industrial applications.
-
CANN Talent Ecosystem: Through industry-recognized high-quality talent identification activities, drive the overall construction of the talent ecosystem, continuously supplying excellent developers for the prosperous development of the industry.
Subsequently, in the presence of all attendees, the Global Computing Coalition and partners jointly released the “CANN Ecosystem Co-Creation Plan”, which will rely on 240P computing power, through more than 10 industry summits and a series of CANN operator development competitions, to train over 1000 developers and create more than 20 innovative application scenarios. The first phase of this co-creation plan, “Intelligent Computing + Power Industry Innovation”, has also launched simultaneously.

During the open discussion session, several experts from the GCC Intelligent Computing Industry Development Committee listened to the concerns of industry partners and developers regarding the construction of the CANN ecosystem and discussed specific measures for talent identification and incentives for excellent developers.
The successful holding of this Ascend CANN open-source salon has opened the curtain for GCC and partners like Hangzhou Tiankuan Technology to build a regional CANN ecosystem self-circulation in Zhejiang. It is believed that with the support of government, industry, academia, research, and application partners and developers, it will also become a model for the national “Intelligent Computing + Industry” ecosystem co-creation.
