1. The Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking System (FCW/AEB) is known in English as “Forward Collision Warning” and in Chinese as “前碰撞预警系统”. It detects the relative distance and speed between the vehicle and the vehicle ahead, assesses the level of pre-collision danger, and warns the driver to take braking measures in a timely manner to avoid or mitigate a collision. AEB, or “Autonomous Emergency Braking”, is designed to automatically apply the brakes when a collision is imminent.
