To comprehensively enhance first aid skills and popularize emergency rescue knowledge, on September 12, 2025, the Internet of Things College conducted emergency safety training for freshmen at the Emergency Management College. This training was attended by the military training instructor team and the 2025 freshmen.
The training was conducted in a “theory + practical” format. During the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) segment, the training instructor explained the key operational points in detail and demonstrated using a mannequin, allowing students to practice in groups, correcting their movements one by one to ensure everyone could master the first aid techniques within the “golden 4 minutes”.
In the bandaging and wrapping instruction, the instructor demonstrated various methods for common scenarios such as sprains, abrasions, and fractures, allowing students to practice in pairs and quickly master the correct bandaging techniques for different injuries.
During the fire equipment usage and drill segment, the instructor explained the structure of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants, demonstrating the steps for using a fire extinguisher: “lift, pull, hold, and press”. Subsequently, in the drill area, everyone orderly picked up fire extinguishers and experienced the usage of fire extinguishers according to the standard procedures.
This emergency safety training not only allowed students to systematically learn emergency rescue knowledge and strengthen their fire safety awareness but also enhanced their practical operational abilities, laying an irreplaceable solid foundation for building a safe campus ecosystem where everyone understands safety, abides by safety, and can respond to emergencies.
