Recently, the first mainstream domestic vehicle equipped with ZhiXing Technology’s iDC 500 integrated domain controller for driving and parking has officially launched. This also signifies that the iDC 500 has become one of the few high-end intelligent driving domain controllers to achieve mass production on a mid-level computing platform. Furthermore, the iDC 500 is a high-end intelligent driving solution that has successfully deployed mass production of BEV+OCC perception algorithms on the Renesas R-Car V4H computing platform.
As the coverage of intelligent driving scenarios continues to expand, there are very few hardware computing platforms that can support high-end intelligent driving functions. The high price of “high computing power” also limits the integration and iteration speed of intelligent driving. The democratization of intelligent driving requires collaboration between hardware platforms and suppliers of mass-produced high-end intelligent driving solutions.
In this context, Renesas has developed the high-performance, low-cost R-Car V4x series computing platform to meet the deployment needs of L2+ and L3 level autonomous driving systems, with the V4H being the high-performance version.: The 7nm process reduces power consumption, allowing for natural heat dissipation, which is beneficial for layout in vehicles with very limited space and energy consumption; the built-in R core eliminates the need for an external MCU, improving on-chip efficiency and reducing power consumption and space requirements; the NPU not only provides CNN but also integrates multiple hardware acceleration units such as IMR, IMP, CVE, DOF, and a programmable DSP core to support algorithm customization.
With this as a starting point, ZhiXing Technology has formed a high-end driving and parking algorithm platform and is rapidly advancing the deployment of the iDC 500 series, adding new strength to the “democratization of intelligent driving”.
Based on the Renesas R-Car V4H, the ZhiXing Technology iDC 500 can achieve advanced driving functions such as self-built map city memory driving for over 50 kilometers on a single route, light map highway navigation, and enhanced cruise assistance. At the same time, the memory parking function can navigate around obstacles and flexibly choose parking spaces, covering complex scenarios such as dead-end roads and narrow parking spaces, with the fastest automatic parking time within 30 seconds, providing a smooth human-machine interaction experience with self-selected parking spaces and 3D modeling rendering.

Based on the Renesas R-Car V4H, the first mass-produced model of the iDC 500 involves various power forms including new energy and fuel vehicles, targeting multiple domestic and international markets. The aforementioned advanced parking functions will be implemented globally, sharing both fuel and electricity.
