On November 19, CGN Digital Technology’s Shanghai branch held an expert review meeting for the “CGN N7000 Product Development and Typical Engineering Prototype for Nuclear Power Applications.” The meeting was attended by Sun Yongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CGN Digital Technology. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, hosted by Zhang Huanxin, Assistant General Manager of CGN Digital Technology, and gathered several industry authority experts, including Academician Ye Qizhen, along with 17 senior experts from CGN Engineering, CGN Suzhou Institute, and various nuclear power bases.

During the review meeting, the project team provided a detailed report covering the background of the results, the development of the N7000 product, and the typical engineering prototype LOT102E. After a comprehensive review and inquiry into the R&D process, engineering plans, verification data, and prototype demonstration, the attending experts unanimously agreed that the key core technology performance and indicators of the N7000 exceed those of foreign products, meeting the on-site application conditions of nuclear power plants. The overall technology has reached an internationally advanced level, particularly in system reliability design and intelligent function application, where it is at the international leading level. The engineering design of the LOT102E and LOT102C typical engineering prototypes is reasonable, featuring standardized and modular design characteristics that meet the application requirements of nuclear power projects.

LOT102E Engineering Prototype

The N7000 product is independently developed by CGN Digital Technology, based on the FirmLogiXL7000 large PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), designed for nuclear power engineering applications. It features high performance, high reliability, and intelligent capabilities, overcoming several core technologies such as “hot standby redundancy,” “edge computing,” and “intelligent operation and maintenance,” with functions and performance that comply with relevant standards and specifications in the nuclear power field.

The successful convening of this expert review meeting marks the comprehensive recognition of the N7000 product and typical engineering prototype for nuclear power applications by authoritative industry experts, laying a solid foundation for the engineering application of CGN’s self-developed large PLC in the nuclear power field. As the N7000 product gradually enters the engineering implementation phase, the Shanghai branch will push forward the localization process of industrial control systems in the nuclear power field with greater determination, ensuring stable and reliable application of the product in more nuclear power scenarios, injecting strong momentum into China’s energy security and self-control.
