The S7-1200 PLC is primarily aimed at simple yet high-precision automation tasks. Its compact design, flexible configuration, and powerful instruction set make the S7-1200 PLC a solution for controlling various applications.
The CPU integrates a microprocessor, power supply, input circuits, and output circuits into a compact housing to form a powerful PLC.
The CPU monitors inputs and changes outputs based on user program logic. The user program can include Boolean logic, counting, timing, complex mathematical operations, and communication with other intelligent devices.

Hardware of S7-1200 – Digital I/O
Input/output modules with 8, 16, and 32 points can be selected to meet different control needs.
In industrial control, some input quantities (temperature, pressure, flow, speed, etc.) are analog, while some actuators (electric control valves and frequency converters) require the PLC to output analog signals, whereas the PLC’s CPU can only process digital signals.
The task of the analog I/O module is to implement A/D and D/A conversions.

Programming Tool STEP7 Basic – Features
STEP7 Basic is a highly integrated engineering configuration system developed by Siemens, including task-oriented HMI configuration software WinCC Basic.

Hardware Configuration – Deleting Hardware Components
Hardware configuration components can be deleted from the device view or network view, and the addresses of deleted components can be reused by other components. The CPU and rack cannot be deleted individually; the entire PLC station must be deleted from the network view or project tree.
After deleting hardware components, the hardware configuration can be compiled, and a consistency check will be performed during compilation. If there are errors, error messages will be displayed, and corrections must be made before recompiling.
