The chip programming leader ACROVIEW Technology has announced significant news regarding its programming software, which has undergone a major version upgrade. Along with the release of the new version of the programming software, ACROVIEW Technology has also announced the addition of several compatible chip models, including the STMicroelectronics 32-bit microcontroller STM32G031G6U. Currently, this chip has successfully completed technical adaptation with ACROVIEW’s flagship product, the AP8000 professional chip programmer, significantly enhancing the compatibility of the AP8000 series devices with various chips.

The STM32G031G6U is based on a high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M0+ 32-bit RISC core, operating at a frequency of up to 64 MHz. It offers a high level of integration suitable for a wide range of applications in consumer and industrial fields, preparing for Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.

The STM32G031G6U includes a Memory Protection Unit (MPU), high-speed embedded memory (up to 64 kilobytes of Flash program memory and 8 kilobytes of SRAM), DMA, extended system features, enhanced I/O, and peripherals. These devices provide standard communication interfaces (two I2C, two SPI/one I2S, and two USART), a 12-bit ADC (2.5MSps) with up to 19 channels, an internal voltage reference buffer, a low-power RTC, an advanced control PWM timer that operates at up to twice the CPU frequency, four general-purpose 16-bit timers, one 32-bit general-purpose timer, two low-power 16-bit timers, two watchdog timers, and a SysTick timer.

The STM32G031G6U operates in an environmental temperature range from -40°C to 125°C and can operate with a supply voltage from 1.7V to 3.6V. Optimized dynamic consumption combined with comprehensive power-saving modes, low-power timers, and low-power UART allows for the design of low-power applications, while the VBAT direct battery input allows for RTC and backup register power supply.

The AP8000 host features flexible connectivity options and is equipped with USB and NET interfaces, allowing for easy networking of multiple programmers. Through the networking function, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers, efficiently conducting parallel programming operations. In terms of safety, the host is equipped with an intelligent safety protection circuit that can monitor the chip placement status and circuit connection in real-time. Once it detects abnormal conditions such as chip reverse insertion or short circuits, it will immediately trigger a power-off protection mechanism, fully safeguarding the safe operation of the chip and programmer. The host is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip, significantly improving data transmission and processing efficiency, ensuring a smooth and efficient programming process. To enhance user convenience, the back of the host is equipped with an SD card slot, allowing users to store project files generated on the PC to the SD card and insert it into the slot. They can then complete file selection, loading, and programming operations through the physical buttons on the programmer, achieving independent operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependence on computer hardware configurations but also simplifies the setup process of the working environment, significantly enhancing operational flexibility.

In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular combination design of baseboard and adapter board, effectively expanding the functional boundaries of the host. Currently, this device has achieved support for products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering well-known brands such as Melexis, Intel, RICHTEK, indiemicro, Fortior Tech, etc. It supports a wide range of device types, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, etc., and is fully compatible with various industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, POF, providing users with a one-stop, all-scenario chip programming solution.
