The chip programming leader ACROVIEW Technology recently announced the latest iteration of its programming software, along with a series of newly compatible chip models. In this update, the automotive safety system base chip MFS2400AVBA0ES from NXP Semiconductors has been supported by ACROVIEW’s universal programmer AP8000.

MFS2400AVBA0ES is an automotive safety system base chip (SBC) device equipped with multiple power supplies, designed to support automotive safety access applications using Ultra-Wideband (UWB), Near Field Communication (NFC), and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices. MFS2400AVBA0ES is also suitable for other small applications requiring low power and CAN FD communication. It supports a wide range of applications, providing output voltage settings, physical interface selections, and integrated system-level functions to address low-power and noise-sensitive applications with an automotive safety integrity level (ASIL) of up to ASIL B. MFS2400AVBA0ES integrates a switch-mode regulator (V1) connected to the battery and a linear regulator (V3) connected to the battery, powering microcontrollers, communication devices, and more. V1 offers a high-performance switch regulator capable of operating in Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) mode and Forced Pulse Width Modulation (FPWM) mode. The operation mode can be changed using a wake-up pin to optimize noise management. The development of MFS2400AVBA0ES complies with the ISO 26262:2018 standard, incorporating enhanced safety features with fail-safe outputs, making it a component of comprehensive safety systems covering ASIL B safety integrity levels. MFS2400AVBA0ES is packaged in a 5mm x 5mm, 32-pin High Voltage Quad Flat No-lead (HVQFN) package with wettable sidewalls.

The AP8000 universal programmer developed by ACROVIEW Technology supports both online/offline versions with one-to-one and one-to-eight configurations, as well as dedicated programming solutions for eMMC and UFS, fully covering the bare chip (offline) and on-board programming needs for all chip models in this NXP series. The AP8000 consists of three core components: host, baseboard, and adapter. As a universal programming platform in the industry, the AP8000 not only supports programming for all types of programmable chips on the market but also serves as the core programming platform for ACROVIEW’s automated batch programming equipment IPS5800S, efficiently executing large-scale programming tasks.

The host supports both USB and NET connections, enabling networking of multiple programmers to synchronize control of multiple programmers for programming operations. The built-in safety protection circuit can instantly detect abnormal situations such as reversed chip placement or short circuits and immediately cut off power, ensuring the safety of both the chip and the programmer. The host integrates a high-speed FPGA, significantly enhancing data transmission and processing speed. The back of the host features an SD card slot, allowing users to save project files generated by PC software to the root directory of the SD card and insert it into the slot. By using the button on the programmer, users can select, load, and execute programming instructions without relying on a PC, which not only reduces the hardware configuration cost of the PC but also facilitates the rapid construction of the working environment.
The AP8000 enhances the host’s expansion capabilities through the combination design of the baseboard and adapter, currently supporting products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, including GigaDevice, Joulwatt, MindMotion, HISILICON, CHIPSEA, and others. The supported device types include NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, etc., and it is compatible with various file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, POF, etc.
