Weinan 3D Printing Industry Cultivation Base
Base Introduction
The Weinan 3D Printing Industry Cultivation Base was established in 2013 and is operated by the Weinan High-tech Zone Torch Technology Development Co., Ltd., a wholly state-owned enterprise under the management committee of Weinan High-tech Zone. After more than ten years of development, the base has been approved as a national demonstration base for new industrialization, a national demonstration base for small and micro enterprise entrepreneurship and innovation, a national service-oriented manufacturing demonstration platform, a new material high-tech industrialization base, a Class A national technology business incubator, and a typical case for promoting new industrialization in national industrial parks. It is also an important carrier of the Shaanxi Qin Chuang Yuan additive manufacturing industry innovation cluster area (core area).
By the end of 2025, the total operating income of the base’s enterprises is expected to reach 800 million yuan.
Base Scale and Layout
The base covers a total area of 520 acres, mainly including the first phase of the 3D printing industry cultivation base starting area, the second phase of the additive manufacturing innovation center industrial park, the third phase of the technology achievement transformation demonstration park, and the fourth phase of the additive manufacturing professional application area, with a total construction area of approximately 250,000 square meters. The standardized factory area is about 190,000 square meters, divided into single-layer, double-layer, and three-layer structures, which can meet the research and small-scale production needs of different types of enterprises. In addition, the base collaborates with the Xi’an University of Technology industrial park to establish an approximately 1,000 square meter innovation incubator, focusing on talent introduction, technical breakthroughs, and project incubation, developing a new model of “Xi’an R&D, Weinan manufacturing”.

The base has gathered nearly a hundred upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain, including Plater (Weinan), Shaanxi Zhituo, Shaanxi Jugao, and Mark Medical, among which there are 2 provincial-level leading enterprises in the additive manufacturing industry chain, 69 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, 39 high-tech enterprises, 1 specialized and innovative “little giant”, 4 specialized and innovative enterprises, and 13 industrial enterprises above designated size. The products of key related enterprises have been successfully applied in the automotive, shipbuilding, and biomedical fields, especially in aerospace and defense, involving dozens of product models such as aircraft engine blades, launch vehicle main bundle-related parts, bionic heat exchanger equipment, drone equipment components, and radar equipment components.
