

From November 28 to 29, the 5th Dazhou Youth Robot Competition and City (Prefecture) Robot Invitational was held in Wanyuan, gathering young technology enthusiasts from Dazhou and surrounding cities (prefectures) for a competition filled with technological innovation and creativity.

The 5th Dazhou Youth Robot Competition featured a variety of events, including the Intelligent Transport Challenge, the Speed Competition Series – Mecha Warrior, Parent-Child Creative Building, Individual Flight Competition of Drones, and Creative Programming, with five competition categories. A total of 86 primary and secondary schools and kindergartens from various counties (cities, districts) in Dazhou participated with over 600 outstanding teams, totaling more than 900 students. The competition was divided into three stages: school-level preliminaries, county (city, district) competitions, and city finals, covering the preschool, primary, junior high, and senior high school groups, where students actively competed, showcasing the fruitful results of youth science education in Dazhou.

Contestant Tao Zhixuan from Wanyuan Third Middle School: We not only applied textbook knowledge to practice but also learned how to collaborate as a team to overcome challenges. From conception to realization, this process greatly enhanced our innovative thinking and hands-on skills.
Contestant Hu Qipei from Dazhou Senior High School: I registered for the Creative Programming category, and this competition has been immensely beneficial, enhancing my information literacy and programming knowledge.

The City (Prefecture) Robot Invitational invited 32 teams with over 120 participants from Mianyang, Suining, Luzhou, Guang’an, Bazhong, and Dazhou to compete, allowing teachers and students to showcase their skills and learn from each other. The event aims to strengthen the exchange of technological innovation activities in the region and jointly enhance the scientific literacy of youth in artificial intelligence.

Wanyuan Economic Development Zone Huangjiagou Experimental Primary School Science and Technology Instructor Zhou Xiaoli: We not only witnessed the strength of excellent competitors but also improved our practical skills in robot operation and teamwork. We will continue to address the issues identified during the competition to help children progress further in their scientific innovation journey.

At the same time, we aim to discover and cultivate more
potential talents in technological innovation,
injecting continuous innovative vitality into the development of “Bashan Painting Screen·Red City Wanyuan.”


Dazhou Science and Technology Association Party Secretary and Chairman Yuan Shunxue: We organized 55 experienced judges and 60 energetic volunteers, meticulously refining every aspect, including venue setup, equipment debugging, and safety and hygiene, to create a fair and comfortable competition environment for participants.

This competition deeply integrates artificial intelligence technology with robot control logic, focusing on assessing contestants’ comprehensive abilities in robot construction and debugging, tactical strategy planning, and on-the-spot decision-making, combining the competitiveness of the event with the guidance of technological innovation, helping contestants learn through competition, enhance their capabilities, stimulate youth’s interest in science, and improve their scientific literacy.

Dazhou Science and Technology Association Party Member and Vice Chairman Yue Xifu: We will continue to hold the city-wide primary and secondary school robot competitions, creating a strong atmosphere for youth to discuss science, love science, learn science, and apply science, continuously stimulating the innovative spirit and practical abilities of primary and secondary school students.
