Explanation of the Technical Requirements for the 19th Sichuan Provincial Youth Robot Competition
Intelligent Robotics Engineering Challenge (Human-Machine Battle)
Master Controller Technical Requirements Explanation
To all participating teams:
In order to ensure a fair competition under the same technical standards for the 19th Sichuan Provincial Youth Robot Competition—Intelligent Robotics Engineering Challenge (Human-Machine Battle), and with the approval of the Provincial Competition Expert Committee, the following explanations regarding the technical requirements for the master controller of this project are provided:
1. This human-machine battle competition clearly requires the use of “Arduino” master controller.
2. The self-controlled robot used in the competition must not have installed or integrated remote control devices such as Bluetooth or WiFi.
3. The remote-controlled robot used in the competition must not have installed or integrated any sensor devices.
4. To ensure fairness and order in the competition, students will sign the “Integrity Participation Commitment” before the competition.
5. During the pre-competition registration, referees have the right to request participants to open the robot to the state where the master controller chip is visible for registration.
6. Some rules are interpreted as follows:
Competition Rules |
Rule Interpretation |
5.8 The robot body can be freely assembled or designed and manufactured by the user, but the assembly method of each component can only use plug-in or screw connections, and no adhesives can be used to bond several parts together. The robot must be disassembled to the smallest unit before the competition begins. |
This competition does not require the robot to be disassembled to the smallest unit; participants bring the whole machine to the competition. |
5.1 For self-controlled robots, there is no limitation on the brand and manufacturer of the equipment, but controllers compatible with Arduino UNO, Arduino 2560, or Arduino Nano must be used, and self-controlled robots must not use any remote control devices for control. |
Both self-controlled and remote-controlled robots must use Arduino UNO, Arduino 2560, or Arduino Nano as the master controller. During registration, teams will sign the “Integrity Participation Commitment” and will be required to open the robot for inspection. If it is confirmed that a robot violating the rules is used, the team’s qualification for the competition will be canceled or the competition results will be nullified. If the participating team is unclear about the parameters of the master controller used, they must ask the manufacturer to provide detailed parameter information. |
5.2 For remote-controlled robots, there is no limitation on the brand and manufacturer of the equipment, but controllers compatible with Arduino UNO, Arduino 2560, or Arduino Nano must be used, and remote control devices include but are not limited to PS2 wireless remote controllers (as shown in Figure 3), infrared, 2.4G, or Bluetooth, etc. |
|
6.1.3.6 There can be no remote control devices on self-controlled robots. |
The self-controlled robot used in the competition must not have installed or integrated remote control devices such as Bluetooth or WiFi. |
