On July 10, the reporter learned from the Dongchuan Industrial Park Management Committee of the Xining (National Level) Economic and Technological Development Zone that Tianyu (Qinghai) Technology Innovation Co., Ltd. successfully obtained the Class II medical device registration certificate issued by the Qinghai Provincial Drug Administration. Multiple 3D printed orthopedic medical devices have successfully come off the production line, marking the approval of the province’s first locally produced 3D printed medical devices for market.

“Compared to abstract images from X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, bone models allow patients and their families to understand the condition, location of lesions, severity, and surgical plans more intuitively and clearly. By touching and observing the models, they can better understand the necessity and process of surgery, enhancing trust in doctors and improving doctor-patient relationships,” said Fu Jing, Deputy General Manager of Tianyu (Qinghai) Technology Innovation Co., Ltd.
A relevant department head from the Dongchuan Industrial Park Management Committee stated that the successful launch of 3D printed orthopedic medical devices not only marks a solid step forward in building a new industrial system and promoting innovation in medical devices but also represents a vivid practice of the park’s active layout in the biomedicine and healthcare industry.
