(2) Operation Process Tips

After powering on, the instrument defaults to the measurement interface, directly displaying the liquid level data;

If parameter modification is needed, press the [SET] key → enter password “2000” → use [▲][▼] to select the target menu item → press [SET] to enter settings → use [▲][▼][▶] to adjust parameters → after setting is complete, press [SET] to confirm and return.

4. Display Interface Interpretation

The measurement interface is divided into three lines, with clear and intuitive information, as follows:

First line: Current liquid level value (example: 7.855 meters), directly reflecting the actual liquid level height in the measured container;

Second line: Air distance from the probe face to the liquid surface (example: 2.147 meters), which is the original distance data measured by the instrument;

Third line: The left side indicates the wave intensity (visually displaying signal transmission stability, with higher intensity indicating more stable signals); the right side shows the real-time temperature at the probe (example: 8.9℃), assisting in determining whether the ambient temperature is within the instrument’s working range.

5. Installation Guide

(1) Installation Methods

This product is suitable for various installation scenarios. For conventional open conditions, the following three installation methods are recommended, which can be selected based on container structure and site conditions:

Bracket installation: Fixed using the product’s built-in locking nut, suitable for open pools, rivers, and other scenarios without flange interfaces;

Flange installation: Supports custom flanges (compatible with DN50/DN80 and other common specifications), suitable for sealed storage tanks, pressure vessels, etc.;

Extension pipe / waveguide installation: For special working conditions (such as high-level liquid entering the blind zone, strong site interference), installation with an extension pipe or waveguide is required (see special instructions below).

(2) Basic Installation Steps

Open a circular hole slightly larger than the probe diameter at the installation position in the container (recommended diameter 60mm);

Insert the ultrasonic level meter probe into the container through the circular hole, ensuring that the probe face is vertical to the measured liquid surface (deviation not exceeding ±5°, to avoid signal reflection deviation);

From the bottom of the container, tighten the locking nut or flange upwards to secure the instrument’s position, ensuring it is firmly installed without looseness.

(3) Special Installation Instructions

1. Extension pipe installation (suitable for high-level liquid entering blind zone scenarios)

Applicable situation: When the measured high-level liquid is less than the instrument’s blind zone (e.g., blind zone 0.3m, high-level liquid distance to probe ≤0.3m), an extension pipe is required;

Installation requirements: The diameter and length of the extension pipe must meet product specifications (recommended diameter ≥50mm, length determined by blind zone difference); the inside of the pipe should avoid condensation, medium adhesion, and the inner surface must be smooth without welding seams; the pipe opening should be processed at a 45° angle to reduce signal reflection interference.

2. Waveguide installation (suitable for strong interference scenarios)

Applicable situation: When there are strong echo interference sources such as narrow vertical shafts, steps on the container inner wall, or agitators, waveguide installation is recommended;

Installation requirements: Use a waveguide with a diameter of no less than 100mm made of PE or PVC; the inner surface of the pipe must be smooth without seams or protrusions; the top must have ventilation holes (to balance internal and external air pressure); the pipe opening should be processed at a 45° angle, and impurities inside the pipe should be cleaned regularly to avoid affecting signal transmission.

(4) Wiring Specifications

Power supply and signal wiring: Connect strictly according to the wiring diagram (positive and negative terminals of the power supply, 4-20mA signal output line), avoiding reverse connections;

Anti-interference requirements: It is strictly prohibited to share the same DC24V power supply with frequency converters, and the negative terminal of the power supply must be well grounded; it is recommended to install an isolator on the signal line to further reduce electromagnetic interference;

Cable protection: Wires and cables must be laid through protective pipes, and both ends of the protective pipe must be sealed to prevent rainwater and dust from entering and causing short circuits.

(5) Meaning of Installation Parameters

Installation Height (TH): The vertical distance from the instrument probe face to the bottom of the container, which must be less than the instrument’s range (e.g., for a range of 10m, the installation height must be ≤10m);

Measurement Distance (L): The air distance from the probe face to the liquid surface (real-time measurement value of the instrument);

Actual Liquid Level (H): The calculation formula is “H=TH-L”, and the instrument will automatically calculate and display;

Blind Zone Requirements: The distance from the top liquid level to the probe face must be greater than the instrument’s blind zone (e.g., for a blind zone of 0.3m, the distance must be >0.3m), otherwise accurate measurement cannot be achieved;

Wave Direction Angle: The probe emits waves in a conical diffusion pattern (direction angle approximately 15°-20°), during installation, avoid obstacles such as protrusions on the tank wall, channel edges, and feed ports to prevent signal reflection causing data fluctuations.

6. Installation and Usage Precautions

Outdoor installation protection: When used outdoors, it is recommended to add a sunshade to avoid direct sunlight and prolonged rain exposure, extending the instrument’s lifespan;

Environmental Protection:

In areas with frequent lightning: The instrument comes with basic lightning protection devices, and it is recommended to additionally install dedicated lightning protection devices (such as lightning modules) at the input and output terminals to prevent lightning damage;

High-temperature environments: When the ambient temperature exceeds -20℃~+60℃, it is necessary to add high-temperature/low-temperature protection devices (such as insulation covers, cooling fans) around the instrument;

Prohibitions for installation inside containers: No more than one ultrasonic level meter can be installed in the same container to avoid signal interference between devices;

Daily maintenance reminders: Regularly check the probe surface for dust, oil, or medium adhesion, and clean with a soft cloth if necessary; regularly check the terminal connections for looseness to ensure stable signal and power supply.
